Ok guys, I found no information on this so I have to ask. I know the SC300 suspension is interchangeable with Supras with subtle differences in the rear struts (lower spring perches). I also found a little bit of info in a thread somewhere that the 2nd Gen GS front suspension is the same and found another bit that someone's friend or something custom fit 2nd gen suspension on his 1st gen. Theres no other info or pics on this subject and I'm unaware if its true or not. Is there any simularities between the 1st gen GS and the sc300 and / or Supra suspension. The reason I ask is because a found a set of Tein HR Coilovers (height adjustable only) for a MKIV Supra for cheap $400 that have only been used ~6months. They have the upper pillow ball mounts too and are discontinued like most of the other models. Does anybody know if they can / will fit the 1st gen? If he lived close I would just try but hes about 2 states away.

 

Buy them if it's a good price and resell them to someone with a supra if they don't work..
Or have him take some really good pics and measurements and see if it will match up.

 

They may fit, but wouldn't the spring rates vary? Aren't certain springs designed for certain cars?

 

i did a search on this in the past and found that the supra/sc suspension will not work with the gs models
