Last year, I wanted this badly but thankfully it was out of stock. That time allowed me to come across: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...c003e2rME&mp=1. For me, the cart says $176.02 shipped. I just don't know how reliable it is, and that's important because it lacks the local support that's included with Beat-Sonic's product. Ultimately at $599, it's at a price point where I must consider all options on the market, especially because both units pass audio through AUX.

 

If you end up getting this, let us know how it works out for you.

Just to add to this thread and not create a new one:

Im going to be removing this from my GS350 and placing it in my GS-F

Ive been running beatsonic in my GS350 for 6 months. Only issue I have with it is where it freezes and no longer responds, so I need to reach into the glove compartment and turn off power to it in order to get it to reset. Of course you cant start it with your phone plugged in, so then have to reconnect the phone. Imagine driving and google maps is frozen and you realize the map is not moving and you have missed your turn , or waze didnt alert to an officer.
Its a pain in the ***, and I dont know what the solution is. (tried different cable, different iphone, updated iOS)
The audio quality for calls is horrible, better off with bluetooth when connected.

Will update when in the GS-F and let y'all know if continues to freeze.

 

Interesting, Id like to hear more from this product, I want one for my GSF and my GX460. (I understand this is an old thread, but id like to see more people chime in)

I think you're good. There's a lot of install-reviews/first impressions but not many follow-ups and I think these products are best reviewed when they've been installed and aged for 6-12 months (it would be a different scenario if it was an OEM solution). Might sound like overkill, but I think installing it once and never taking it out again is a box that needs to be checked.

The things I'd like to hear more about are the topics mentioned in the additional information on the product's listing:

• Faint pop noise may be heard during vehicle turn on while in AUX mode.
• May require to wait until you see the Lexus splash screen to plug in your phone or sound may not be audible from Carplay. In addition, a quick replug can remedy the no sound to prioritize sound output to Carplay from your phone.

Also, since the release, I've found some similar solutions that offer both wired and wireless solutions. The risk with these products is there's no stateside representation/support and I think that's probably the biggest difference between those and Beat-Sonic's. Just my opinion, but ultimately I think Beat-Sonic is charging a premium for guinea-pigging and providing state-side support so understanding the quality of their customer support is valuable as well.

 

Ive got the Beat-sonic apple/android car play installed in my 19" LX - and its wonderful, easy to use - no issues at all , no noised or any issues. Ive had it in for about 1 year now. I was going to get another one for my GSF but now im reading the VROM carplay may be better ? anyone here know the difference ?
