Anybody here know about Florida laws regarding custom steering wheel? I want to order the wheel below from a guy overseas who makes them custom...I'd replacing the stock steering wheel in the GSF for the custom one pictured below. The custom steering wheel DOES have the airbag in it, if that makes a difference. If the laws are against it (or if it's a gray area), then I won't do it. Can't find a definitive answer from online research, so I figured I'd ask here. Anybody have an answer on whether it would be legal to install the below steering wheel on my GSF?

 

That’s actually the picture of my steering wheel and accessories. I don’t know of any laws restricting a custom steering wheel so you should be all set!

I’ll post some pictures of the final product on my GSF when I get back in the car on Wednesday.

 

Can you share the details on where this is sourced from and cost? I've been wanting to add this for a while.

while i'm not an attorney and am not qualified to give you legal advice, there is nothing illegal about switching out your steering wheel and no laws specific to Florida that you would need to worry about.

 

How do you like those paddles? It's a nice looking setup.

 

I really enjoy the entire setup - I was on the fence as I didn’t want to overload the cabin with carbon but it all works super well with my black interior. I also got the seat trim in carbon and that really ties everything together.

Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately it’s dark when I start work and dark once I get back to the car so the pictures aren’t great. I’ll try to get a few more in the daytime.
