Default Advice on this 10th anniversary

Been a long time lurker on this forum and thought it was time to finally register and sign up! I could defintely use some advice or input regarding a potential GS-F I've had my eyes on.. I've been enamored with the 10th anniversary model since it came out and when one finally landed in Orange County (I live in San Diego), I took a look at in person and fell in love with it. Yes I know the matte paint is more demanding to care for but if and when I do purchase one I plan on Xpel PPF the entire vehicle .

These vehicles are extremely rare and right now there are only 3 in the entire country.. There is one about 100 miles from me that is L CPO for $73k with 24k miles.. I missed out on the one I saw in person which was $67K with 16 k miles.

This particular one is located in AL but the most disconcerting item is the carfax report regarding two accidents, one of them severe. It's priced at $64k with around 8K miles . I've spoken with the dealership and they sent me upclose detailed pics of the entire car. I'm also planning on getting a PPI done at a nearby Lexus dealership (Reinhardt) .. But based on the carfax it looks like they've already had this vehicle in their possesion .

What are your guys thoughts? Should I just stay far away as possible from this? I wish I could get records of the repair history as far as photos but I don't know if this is possible. This would also be my first out of state vehicle purchase so the logistical aspects of shipping would be new to me as well. Any input would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks..

Seriously, you need to step out of the picture because your biceps are in the way. Where is the car? I can't even see it =(

I personally would stay away given the carfax for this car. I'd "settle" for a 19 or 20 that is not the 10th anniversary edition since there are more out there.

FYI. If you do get an F, be careful of them curbs. I had to learn the hard way.

I saw the car at Longo in person when I took my '19 GS F in for service. I was told that the car came from NV.

Longo usually sets the price higher on its used cars but the price did drop by at least a couple grands; the advertised price now is lower than what I was told when I first saw the car a few weeks ago.

Go to drivers.lexus.com and register an account. This way you can enter the VIN of any car you're looking at for its service history.

I wouldn't touch the $64k car if I were you:

425 miles
CUSTOMER STATES BRAKES LOCK UP AFTER SITTING FOR THREE DAYS AND NOISY AT TIMES WHEN BRAKING ~|~

1240 miles
REPAIR RR DAMAGE

8543 miles
FOUND THAT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON ANDHAS COEDS P1361 AND P1365 150 FOUND THATTHERE WAS DEBRIS IN THE CONNECTOR FOR THEPOSITION ACTUATOR ECU THAT DID NOT ALLOW THECONNECTOR TO CLICK IN. REMOVED AND CLICKED INTHE CONNECTOR AND LIGHT CLEARED AND DID

8759 miles

CAR IS LEAKING COOLANT ~|~NIPPLE ON THERMOSTAT HOUSING LEAKING AND COOLANT RES. JUG WAS BROKE ~|~REPLACED THERMOSTAT HOUSING AND REPLACED COOLANT JUG AND BLEED COOLANT
CHECK LF DOOR GLASS IT DOES NOT ROLL UP CORRECTLY ~|~ ~|~REMOVED FRONT LEFT DOOR PANEL AND FOUND WIRING HARNESS CATCHING WINDOW GOING UP AND DOWN REMOVED PLASTIC DUST SHIELD AND RUN ALL WIRING IN CORRECT ROUTING AND REINSTALLED ALL DOOR COMPONENTS AND CHECKED FOR PROPER OPERATION WORKS WITHOUT ANY NOISE NOW
CHECK ALL DOOR LOCKS RR SEEMS TO WORK SLOW AND LF WORKS SLOW AS WELL ~|~WIRING ON TOUCH SENSOR WAS NOT IN CORRECT LOCATION ~|~REMOVED DOOR PANEL AND RELOCATED WIRING ON TOUCH SENSOR TO CORRECT LOCATION SO WINDOW WOULD NOT HIT IT
CHECK BRAKE PAD MESSAGE IS COMING ON AND AT TIMES REDUCED POWER LIGHT WILL COME ON ~|~BROKE WIRE IN HARNESS UNDER AIR BOX AND BAD SENSOR WIRE ON RIGHT FRONT ~|~REPLACED LEFT FRONT ABS AND PAD SENSOR WIRE REMOVED AIR BOX ASSEMBLY AND REPAIRED BROKE WIRE IN HARNESS

Was the $67k one you missed at BMW Buena Park by chance? If so then you've already dodged a bullet. That car's service history was not stellar by any means as well. I think I saw somewhere on its record that the car's ECU registered that someone was doing donuts in it. LOL!

If the production and advertising numbers are accurate, more 2019 model years were 10th anniversary trims than not at 163 total with 100 being anniversary. Doesn't mean anything, just a data point.

I have a 10th Anniversary with 10,700 miles in pristine condition, Expel PPF on front end and mirrors that I’m considering selling but I’m in San Antonio, TX.

You may want to post it on the vehicle classified section, hopefully it'll generate lots of interests.

Who in their right mind would buy an expensive car that's been in a major collision?!

Run man. Hate to say it. Sounds like it was in a major accident and the shop that repaired it didn't repair it correctly. The owner had to take it to Lexus to correct some of their sloppy work.
