So my car had the 15k service and the fuel pump recall.
I dropped the car of fri morning 8am and was called back at 130 that the car was ready to be picked up.
I picked it up after work drove it home all seemed fine.
I dropped of my brother to his car and we were cruising home he was next to my gsf and he said man i hear a weird noise coming from the engine. I didnt really give it
much thought. Then the next day when i was driving around i had the windows up and music off and i can hear a strange noise.
Its hard to explain the noise but it seem to be coming from the drivers side of the car. I hear it when i drive more aggressive. under light acceleration its no there but with more throttle you hear a humming/ whinning noise.
Im pretty sure it was not there before the fuel pump change

Wonder if the new fuel pumps are noticeably louder? Or if the dealer installed it wrong or something?

I've had the recall done and haven't noticed anything different. If it's louder, take it back.

What did service say?
I have a similar noise. I took mine in for recall this morning and described the sounds, but the service lady gave me a confused look

If there's one thing I've learned in life , it's this :

if it ain't broke , don't fix it ... lol

I don't take "preventive maintenance" serious anymore .

I know many may not agree , but that's just my perspective

This is a recall not what I consider preventative maintenance. You don't have to do the recall though but there's just a chance of your car catching fire in the future, slim chance, but still..

Just finish the service. They said replacing the new fuel pump would take care of the noise.

Does the recall mention the VIN numbers of cars affected ? Are they US cars only or internationally ?

*Edit... just saw where you were, so this would not apply. Call your dealer?

If you're in the U.S., plug your VIN in here to see.
