For anyone wondering how the car handles in the snow in Canada... it's great!
First winter with the GSF and it handles very well for a 4000 + pound beast rwd. I have driven it in 2 inch, 4 inch snow and ice rain. It handles better than most other cars with the Bridgestone LM32.
It's not as good as my Audi TTs in the snow, but driving 130km on the highway on snow feels completely safe. I feel the TVD works well in the snow.
It is possible that I will be in the market for a GSF in 2018. I had been wondering how the car performed in snow. This is a good, real-world experience report to know. Snows on all four, of course. Meanwhile, our 2006 GSX with 112,000 miles keeps on going strong. I love that vehicle.

Good to know. I park mine in the garage for the winter, not so much because of the fear of RWD in a performance sedan, but fear of OTHER drivers on the road in the snow and to just avoid the long-term consequences of road salt on the body.
My 07 Toyota Tundra does just fine for this purpose.
GSF in the northeast here. NYC, Queens to be exact. Currently running on Pirelli Sotozero Snow Tires. they run great in the snow and slick conditions. obviously if I can avoid driving the car in the middle of a storm I avoid it at all costs, but the car runs great in the snow
I've driven two winters in Maryland with Continental DWS 06 ( in oem stock size) with no issues with 1-6" of snow and ice. I drive close to posted highway speed limits in most snowy conditions without issues. I commute 25 miles each way, 90% highway. Don't feel the need to get dedicated snow tires at least here in the Mid-Atlantic. Never had any issues in the DWS in all my rwd cars.
I've been driving my 2016 this winter in Massachusetts and have had no problems. Got the Pirelli Winter Sottozero Serie II's matching stock setup. The real test was immediately following a 16" snowstorm. I had to get on partially plowed highways and back roads with 2-3" of packed snow and freezing slush on them. As long as you don't lay on the gas on this car, it handles just fine in the snow.
I also drive my 2017 GSF as a winter beater in Toronto. This is my first winter in the GSF and I'm very satisfied with its performance. I've had the RCF previously and GSF is far a better car in snow and also just a better chassis all around.
I live in North York. Starting to Mod the car this Spring. Just ordered PPE Headers and Apexi mid pipe and it's filters. Looks like I also need a tune to get rid of the CEL from RR racing.
Have you done any Mods yet? Anyone else from GTA? Should arrange for a meet and greet once the Mods are done.
Oh that is pretty close to here! I haven't modded much except for the Winter NIche Rims. Tom's CB Mirrors so far.
Going get the CB license plates, B-pillar, and eventually either Tom's or Novel lip kits.
The lip kit might have to be delayed as for the Newborn. My budget is thrown off balance with the new baby cost
Maybe when the baby is a bit older I'll go for exhaust. Headers is very tempting but there is insurance and warranty is something that I have to consider.
I haven't met with anyone with a GSF here. My Lexus service manager drives a ISF and we might be hitting the tracks this summer.
