Default "Variable Red Zone" ~Redline

So, you all know that the redline on the GS F and RC F moves as the engine warms up, but does anyone know if the ECU limits your RPM or if it just suggests not to rev past redline? Could someone hypothetically start the car cold with the variable redline at 3700rpm and run it to 7300 rpm? I like to warm it up until the oil temp is near the center of the gauge either way, but I'm curious...without trying it myself.

It will not rev past the red line whether cold or warmed up

I take your answer to mean that wherever the "variable redline" is, is what the current engine speed will be limited to? I think that the verbiage in the manual is a bit ambiguous.

Good question and although I do not actually try to test it to avoid any higher rpm revving before warming up properly, I am fairly sure it will not rev past the variable redline. The ECU seems to affect shifting points quite a bit too when it's not warmed up.
