ANY VIDEOS?...
Looks like a nice showing!. Maybe next time? Kids & work make weekdays tough. Maybe they will offer something on a weekend sometime.
Does that track have an ET/MPH light board?
From what I heard Irwindale is suppose to open the Dragstrip on Saturdays starting on 5/19, as well as the regular Thursday.
This event is open 3-10pm

One of the things I thought about when installing this RR Racing SC kit, was the need for a cold air box. Being I cannot just order one online, I decided to custom fab something. Myself, and one
of my techs grabbed the first thing we could find. A fender that was scrap. We measured the area between the SC, and the air filter the best we could. We then cut a piece and begin to mold it to fit the area.
Next we needed to affix it somewhere. We riveted a custom bracket, and screwed it into the apron in a provided threaded hole. Then painted it black and used a rubber seal all the way around
Temperatures dropped in the area around the filer 10 degrees. We knew we were on to something!
Next we cut the upper plastic fender seal along side of the filter to force cold air to the filter

Phase 2 ~
We decided to build off what we now knew worked. I found another piece of metal (door skin) and began fabricating an additional piece. My intention was to make a somewhat of a
box seal, using the hood
This piece was a little tricky, being we had to fix it around wiring
Attached to the original piece and ready for the next phase
Stopped at Grainger and purchased some rubber edge trim seal
Next picked up some aluminum heat barrier from McFadden and Dale, adhesive backed
Also picked up some double reflective insulation from Home Depot and some heat resistant tape
On the inside I cut the insulation, sprayed glue then applied it also using reflective tape. On the outside I used the aluminum heat barrier from McFadden and Dale, adhesive backed
Re applied the trim seal. Ready to install
Perfect fit. Temps have dropped dramatically! 20+ degrees

I would assume some kind of ram air would be best. I wanted to design something to force cold air directly into the engine. With the cutout in the fender upper seal this allows air to be rammed directly to the filter. The box I made is keeping hot air out from the SC, and engine. Since, I have no air box anymore options are limited. Especially with the limited space
