No it's not excessive to me and is it your money that I spent? lol Just bc I posted that I wrapped the car I didn't ask anybody if I spend my money right or if its too excessive. There are a lot of people modding there cars that I don't like doesn't mean I need to comment on how excessive something is if you don't like it MOVE ON it's not yours. You have 32 post probably don't even own a GSF.

There are a lot of guys now days wrapping there car in the clear wrap maybe not the lexus guys but GTR, lambos and etc. are wrapping there cars. When I picked up my car up this is what they were wrapping in clear film.

Good for you on the wrap. If I had the money, I would do the same thing. Lexus paint is soft so I wouldn't mind having extra protection to protect a daily driver. I had my front and full hood wrapped in Suntek. Saved me from a ton of rock chips already

I think the peace of mind to have the car wrapped in clear is well-worth it. To deal with the headache of repairing the paint can become a nightmare for minor incidents (dings, bird droppings, rock chips, etc.), especially for hard to match colors like USB 2.0, Matador Red, and Atomic Silver.

5k for a full PPF is already a good price and like what was already mentioned. It pays off in the long run from small rocks chips and bugs damaging the paint esp when you daily the car. I just have the full front end protection coz my budget was not enough for a full car.

I Wish i did full PPF on my car. I did about 50% of the car and got the entire thing ceramic coated. USB is not very forgiving with swirls as my old white car was =/

My only concern with full car wrapping is getting the stuff off without damaging the paint. I once applied Xpel vinyl to protect the LED headlights on my Prius and noticed after two years the vinyl had yellowed on top. I was only able to get the stuff off with a few razor blades and a full can of adhesive remover. The vinyl looked clear when on the headlights, but once removed the pieces were actually pretty yellow. Vinyl seems worse than paint in the sense that you need to really baby your car. If you park outdoors in the sun all the time, it may be very difficult to get off without damaging the clear.

I have a 10 year warranty on the film and this car isn't a daily car it might come out 2-3 times a week max.
