Default Anyone bottom on their GSF yet?

Had the unfortunate pleasure of bottoming out my GSF yesterday. (it was going to happen eventually i know) Since the sides of the front bumper sit a little lower than the rest of the bumper, i took going into a parking lot a bit to fast and got a nice little scrape and dug in pretty well. Considering getting a cheap EZ lip or something to protect it now. Maybe touch it up. I am usually very careful with dips and going into lots, just screwed it up yesterday.

Had some issues finding lexus touchup paint for USB 2.0. Has anyone bought touchup paint for their GS?

and yes i know, EZ lip on a 90k car what an idiot. id honestly rather have that then bottom it out again by accident.

^^^ I was about to ask the same question. OP, do you mean you caught the side of a curb with the sideskirt of your car?

To answer the bottoming out question. No, I have not bottomed out or felt close to scraping the undercarriage.

Hey guys. No i am on the stock suspension. Maybe you guys are not aware, but New York is known for its crappy roads and high sloping driveways. Basically was turning into a parking lot wheel was fully locked. Took going up the ramp too fast and caught the concrete on the way up. Probably going to get it wetsanded and touched up.

mdrx350md thanks i was looking at this on amazon yesterday. I will order some now.

The wife managed to do this already on the driver's side. It's hardly even visible unless you crouch down and look underneath.

How do you do this at stock ride height? Easy. Steep incline, more speed than prudent, guaranteed scrape. I did it years ago on my IS F. It's not hard at all.

maybe I'm used to lowered cars. i pride myself in not ever scraping even being 4 inches off the ground on the IS-F. i would have to repaint the whole bumper if i knew i had a scrape underneath. even when driving an SUV, i still think I'm in the lowered car and take it easy on all inclines. I won't lower the RC-F too much but at stock height, i feel like I'm in a raised jeep.

Personally: No
Dealership: Yes

I've scraped the undercarriage protective plastic, but "NOT" the front bumper like my local dealership.

OK...now I understand and fully follow and can easily see how one could have that happen.

My driveway skirt to street has a unique dip where i *always* scrape the undercarriage plastic unless I enter/exit at a 45 degree angle So slow in and slow out is the rule.

same thing happened to me while pulling out of my work Parking Garage. and YES the sides of the front bumper sit lower than the best (now I know that), Luckily the part I scraped was underneath of the bumper, so you need to get under the car to see it. Either ways it was bothering me so I had I took it to a shop and they touched it up. Now installed some SUNTEK film under the bumper piece & have ordered some stuff to install under the bumper to protect that from happening again.
