All Speed DRCC coming for GS F?

Traffic! All Speed DRCC (or adaptive cruise control) would be great. It's on Mercedes, Audi and BMW. It's available on GS and F Sport, But not on the GS F. Any guesses or insights if they will add that to the 2017 model?

GSF does have this option and it's standard on US Spec cars.

HIGH-SPEED DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL*

High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control uses radar technology to sense the speed of the vehicle in front of you to help you maintain a preset following distance. If your Lexus gets too close to the vehicle ahead, the throttle is automatically reduced and the brakes are applied. As soon as the road ahead clears, your Lexus returns to its preset speed.

Doesn't it cut off below 25mph?

I think it doesn't allow you to engage laser cruise control if you are going under 25 MPH.
However, once it's engaged and for some reason speed drops below 25MPH, i am assuming it will remain engaged and maintain the distance/speed.

I'm told by the dealer other GS models have ALL speed cruise control but GS F has High Speed cruise control. So you can't have cruise control under 25mph in traffic. Was wondering if anyone had insight if the 2017 model would get all speed installed, or if it might be retrofitted.

I found that its beeps and then cuts off at or around 25mph.

Yeah.. Mine cuts out at 25mph also. The Lexus techno specialist told me it was all speed.. I guess he was wrong.

Took a look at the Lexus site and LSS+ they advertise it as "All Speed" cruise control.

https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lex...y-System+.html

Took a look at the GS F manual on page 266 and 275

http://drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/do...f/OM30E86U.pdf

Based on the info on page 275. It appears that the cruise control is automatically cancelled if you are 25mph or below and no one is in front of you. For the cruise control to work below 25mph you need to be following a car if I read it right.

I need to play around with the different scenario and see what it does.

Do you really want to rely on cruise control in traffic thick enough to only be going 25?

I personally do not trust the computer. I bought the car to drive and have fun. I have zero interest in self driving cars like the Tesla. It's one step closer to getting us separated from our cars.

However it would be nice to get what we pay for. If Lexus advertise the cruise control as any speed then it should be "Any speed" with no string attached. Otherwise it's false advertisement.

Gotcha. I can definitely get on board with that
