Default Novel vs Gt haus

I’m finally getting to the point I want to get an exhaust but I absolutely for the life of me can’t decide what exhaust to get. I love the muscle car growl from the Gt haus car back and the novel headers back system sounds heavenly with the high pitch. Gt haus with ppe el headers or novel headers seems like a decent inbetween option.

It also seems gt haus is extremely loud and pretty loud even with valves closed. Is novel just as loud or louder with valves open? For those that have had both systems or have heard of them what are your thoughts?

I’m at a bit of a cross roads between these two and am being quite indecisive lol. Don’t want to spend all the money and then not be sure. I’d love insight from anyone that can speak regarding either or both systems.

If you decide to go the GTHUAS and PPE route, we can help you save even more $$.

I went with the full Novel system personally. I did consider the GT Haus system but based on the videos on you tube, it sounded to loud and American muscle car for me.

If you want a refined exotics exhaust sound from your GSF, you should consider the Novel headers coupled with Tanabe ( revel ) axle back system. Keep the OEM midpipe.

And if you want an even more refined drama, install a cone type intake system like Takeda.

@designo Great suggestion, that really is one of my personal favorite exhaust setups too.

Highly suggest the AEM intake too, in addition to the Takeda, as both offer that drama.

Sounds great! I’m sure the video doesn’t do it justice to irl but I would like to be a bit louder. What mainly drew me to the novel was how quiet it gets with the valves closed compared to the Gt haus system.

I’m a younger guy so I love me some noise but I’d still like to respect my neighbors as well as have some peace and quiet on drives when wanted. I’ll definitely take this into consideration but it just seems a bit off for me sound wise. can’t put my finger on it exactly. I’ve also been playing with the idea of a novel catback with the PPE EL headers as well.

So many good options. I think I definitely am coming to the conclusion of wanting the novel system though. It truly allows you to have best of both worlds in comparison to other valved systems.

when I originally bought the car I was highly considering the AEM intake but seems the oem intake is the best especially when you add a drop in filter and the rr racing heat shield.

that’s about where I’m feeling as well. Sounds amazing but if I’m really after that type of noise I think I’d be better off getting a muscle car. Definitely will be pivoting and trying to do some combo of the novel system combined with something else. Maybe just the headers with a different system or do the catback paired with either novel or ppe el headers. Planning to start with a catback for the time being.

So I have a friend who has a GT Haus catback and it is one of those exhausts that sound incredible in person (similar to NOVEL in person) and does not sound like a muscle car at all. HOWEVER, the GT Haus without headers is honestly very loud, where if you do want to be semi quiet at times the valves are preferred. Everyone has different preferences, but with headers + full GT Haus it is extremely loud bordering almost too loud. If you plan to not do headers then the GT Haus catback you will love! I personally have just a GT Haus midpipe which I preach setup wise as it has no drone, is loud when you are WOT, and can is louder than some of the catback options such as APEXI.

While the OEM system is technically the best for performance, the gains are really minimal IMO over an AEM. The full cone of AEM sounds amazing inside the car at WOT, and honestly looks great in the engine bay! Here is a pic of my setup.

will keep that in mind. Not planning changing intake atm. Prob going to do a catch can and those pulleys from rr racing. Think I’ve decided on the Novel headers back system. I know it has the fitment issues and has a chance of cracking as some have experienced but it seems like it sounds different in general. Good different. Prob do the cat back for time being then add headers once I’m ready to do a tune.
