I was the one that made this discovery. I wanted to fit the RC F Track Edition calipers onto my track GS F but I did not want to run carbon ceramic rotors. The TE calipers are 380mm all around. The only other car that had front and rear 380mm rotors was the early R35 GT-R. I bought a used set of rotors and found that they fit the TE calipers with minimal modification. The TE calipers are a different design than the regular F calipers. They are slightly lighter and the pistons are ventilated. The 2 piece R35 rotors are so much lighter than the OEM F rotors even with the larger size in the rear. I also discovered that the R35 pads fit the TE calipers without modification. I'm running Project Mu Racing 999 pads and Endless E-Slit R35 rotor rings on the stock R35 rotor centers. The braking performance is unreal on the track.
Hello, I currently did this conversion with 09 R35 rotors and pads and I ran into some issues. For starters the IS 500 uses as M12 lug instead of a M14 lug. I am working on a solution with this. I am also having a hard time getting aftermarket (hawk street ceramic) R35 pads to fit into the TE caliper. It seems there’s a small spot where it does not fit snug. Circled in blue is the small area where it seems like it’s not 100% fitting. I almost grinded down the pad a little with the dremel but decided to hold off. I also ordered the necessary pieces, however this was for the OEM RCF calipers. What additional hardware is needed? Currently the car has the caliper mounted onto the stock IS500 rotors until the pad situation is figured out.

Another data point for weights - the calipers (GSF OEM and RCF TE OEM) are the same weights front and rear. The rotor weight is half the OEM weights (nearly).

Nice! I thought the front rotors were 32.5lbs stock? Did you weigh the rear rotor?
