Electronic parking brake

Default Electronic parking brake

I replaced the brake pads and dust seals on my 2015 gs350 f sport RWD with 14" rotors on all 4 calipers now I cant get the electronic parking brake off?? Anyone know how to reset or get parking brake to release

Not sure if it helps, but the parking brake is a drum brake that runs on the inside of the rear rotor. Maybe it got jammed during the caliper service.

I think there's an emergency release pull somewhere inside the trunk to release the parking brake manually. Same goes for the fuel door I think. This is what I like about Toyota, they think of everything in advance.

Also, are we suppose to leave the parking brake on or off when changing the rear brake pads and rotors?

It must be off, else you won't be able to remove the rear rotor.

I saw this handle this weekend in the trunk... and now this thread caused me to go look up the instructions...
