Default Carbon Fiber Wrapped interior F Sport

Just finished up the interior wrap on the GS. Lots of patience on this one. Still need to do the door panels but really don’t want to take it off

Look nice. What original color before you put on CF?

What film did you use?

Look like glue lines or stretch marks in the film.

Cheap 5d carbon vinyl. The film was great but the lines are from the aluminum trim

Yup I experienced the same with a gloss carbon film. Hated how it looked like a cheap sticker so rewrappee everything in a textured carbon fiber and it hides the aluminum grain lines much better.

I didn't remove the door panel to do the doors, you can tuck around without removing the trim piece

I’m actually thinking about getting textured because of the lines. Going to wait and see how the current vinyl reacts to the summer heat. Tanks for the tip

Going to be doing this in the next few weeks. What textured carbon fiber did you go with? I would much rather do it right the first time and use the better stuff if possible.

This is what I used and was pleased. It's more matte than it is gloss.. Has a satin-like sheen I'd say and is slightly textured. It's also more on the gray side rather than straight black.

You can still see the aluminum grain lines if you look closely but they are hidden way better than the gloss stuffy like in the above photos.

Amazon Amazon

*don't mind the amateur wrapping, it was my first time trying!

Yea that definitely looks better. Looks like it matches up with my carbon fiber steering wheel a lot better as well. How much of it did you have to order to cover everything?

I don't get covering up real aluminum with a sticker? Is it really that ugly or are you guys bored?

I wish our door handles and rest of silver trim was actual metal not plastic.

My aluminum trim wasn’t in the best condition from the prior owner. That was visible scratches and dents. In order to save some coin wrapping is a great alternative and adds character

I actually like the aluminum but I had dings and dents on both doors in the front, and a decent size chip in the corner of the dash piece. Rather than replace everything, carrying my exterior carbon theme inside seemed a cheaper alternative. I left the center console piece around the shifter in the original aluminum though.

I think I ordered 8sq ft and had some left over but I also did not wrap the center console piece around the shifter. This stuff is pricey compared to other wraps but it's high quality. I think 8 Sq ft would be enough but you can measure roughly and decide
