Default What to do with sticky parking stickers?

Hi guys, so I heard my city will start doing parking permits to help with the insane parking situation around my neighborhood. It's going to be a sticker to put on your rear bumper.

I have never had that before and would hate to put an ugly sticker on the dumper simipermanetly.

Does anyone have a smart alternative method of putting a sticker on the bumper, but can by easily removed later on without leaving a mark? Thanks!!

The picture is what the permit will look like.

Wax where the sticker will be applied. When you remove the sticker use a hair dryer.

Will they really fret if it's on the rear glass instead of bumper?

This is a terrible idea from your city council Lol

Does it have to be on the bumper? If not u can buy a thin paper like magnet and cut it to size and attach the sticker to that and put it on the metal part of the car and u can remove it without leaving a mark.

My town requires a similar permit to park at the commuter rail.

I haven't applied for the permit yet... but what about applying a small piece of color match vinyl wrap (the size of the permit) to the bumper, and then sticking permit on top of vinyl

This can work, or as another option...

Apply the sticker to the vinyl, then the vinyl to the bumper....

Thanks guys! I agree it's a horrible idea. We have to pay to get the permit and city is gonna issue a bunch of tickets and make a ton of money, but nothing will help with the parking situation. (We are not even near any major shopping or public transit)

I really like the magnet idea, I can peel it off when I wash the car. But also clear wrap is another option.

Thanks for the advice!

Jsut be aware the magnet won't stick to the bumper, you'd have to put it on the trunk lid since the bumper is plastic. If it has to be on the bumper or else you'll be ticketed (wouldn't be surprised if this is just purely a cash grab) then you'll have to go with the clear PPF option.

personally i wouldnt want a sticker on the bumper even if its over a vinyl or clear bra. ive seen this done before and this would be my option to go..make a mount that goes under the bumper, easily made by some sheet metal.

Interesting... That's pretty awesome. I'm gonna look under my bumper and see where I can hang a bracket. Thanks!!

And yes, total money grab. The fact regular residents need to pay extra money every year just to park their car front of their house is proof. I can't believe some people actually support these types of laws... :/

California continues with its ludicrous ways...as the rest of the country shakes their head and laughs out loud at the people who continue to put up with it all...

My state Illinois is just as bad. People are leaving in droves and the ridiculous taxes are driving everyone away. Spoke to 2 friends last week who are leaving.

I know more people that are leaving because of the weather, than taxes. The money stuff tends to equal out. The weather does not.

And to those promoting the use of a magnet, or some easy to remove solution. Wouldn't that just make it super easy to steal?
