Default Bottom part of headlight out?

What痴 up everyone. I知 looking to purchase a 2015 GS F sport and the one I just checked the bottom part (the light strip) of the headlight is out. From what I知 seeing online it seems the entire headlight has to be replaced. Is this true? Anyone know an estimated cost for this?

Yes, you will have to replace the headlight. You can find them used on eBay for $300 - $600, depends on the condition.

If you do buy it, be sure to dissect the old light! And post pics.

yea I guess used is the best especially since I wouldn稚 want one headlight looking brand new and one looking old.

To see what went wrong and to evaluate the possibility of repair.

As mentioned, it is true and eBay is the best bet. However, i'd ask the seller to take care of that for me as its a standard feature (daytime running lamp) that should be working. Seems like the car was in an accident or somehow the headlamp itself was cracked and got water damage.

I hope they hey are discounting the car by at least the cost of a new headlamp. Also: If its a 2015 with under 50k miles and the headlamp DRL is out, Lexus might be able to replace it depending on if the original warranty is active (4yr/50k).

quick ebay search....... I can live with it for now lol.

I read somewhere that replacing a module behind the headlight may work, anyone try that?
