Hello All,

Status: Remedy Available

RecallDate:03/14/2019

Dealer Reference Id:

Description: The engine ECUs in the subject vehicles are equipped with software to monitor the rear oxygen sensors. Under a specific condition, this software may not detect a malfunctioning sensor due to an error in the software. Remedy: Any authorized Lexus dealer will update the engine ECU software FREE OF CHARGE.
Has anyone else receive this notification?

i did a couple weeks back, went in today to get it updated and my god it took 2 hours... they did a multi point inspection and that was it. i have they address auto vented/heated seats not shutting off when no one was in passenger and discovered that only happens with s-flow is on. They still didn't resolve why my side bolsters weren't recalled every time i get in the car though..

Make sure to go in with an empty tank. Lexus always fills up after a recall or service campaign.

Some dealers you will need to remind them.

My service advisor always remembers and adds it to the paperwork to ensure it gets done.

Which dealership in SoCal is this?

Definitely dealer specific thing. Might even be a service advisor-customer specific thing. Might even be an overall dealership-customer thing (if dealership sales made a killing on your deal, they'll gladly throw you a couple hundred dollars in gas over the lifetime of your expensive service visits for the chance to make a killing off you on your next purchase)

Been to a couple Lexus dealer service departments (Lexus of Riverside and Longo Lexus) and they did it. Search around the forum and you’ll see other members get the same treatment for recalls and service campaigns; it’s Toyota/Lexus’ way of compensating customers for making them go in for service campaigns/recalls. Of note, I usually don’t service at the dealer that I purchased at due to distance/convenience.

If you ask for it, you’ll get it. If you don’t ask for it, then you won’t get it.

I just experienced this kind gesture over the weekend. I thought that was awfully nice of Lexus. I never heard of any dealership filling tanks unless you purchase a vehicle from them on that day.

Got my notice today. Has anyone else received the notice here?

baconRx 04-10-19 12:49 PM

I got my notification email today which is odd cause i just did it this past monday.

Also, everyone should remember to request that they top off their gas tank. I asked in an email they sent to follow up with the service and they only do it on request. I will be sure to request when I go in for them to resolve my memory seat issue
