Why don't these sell? GS350 Fsport
2014 GS350 Fsport. Why don't these sell? Is the KBB value accurate? Seems like the bottom has fell out. I have listed in several local ads and all I get is low ballers which I think is dealers. This car is in excellent condition and I cannot even get an offer of 25K for it. Frustrating when I can get more for my older truck than I can get for this car.

Most people simple want a SUV for their “STUFF” and the families. I’m sure your GS is awesome, it will take the right buyer who appreciates a Japanese sports sedan to buy your well kept used Lexus. Good Luck |
What are the "low ballers" offering? Just curious.
A friend is in the market for a used Honda (CRV/Accord) - The 2008 CRV he is looking at is being quoted at ~6k, while a similar year/mileage Accord is being quoted at ~3k. Looks like sedans are out of fashion |
25k is probably too high for a 2014 f sport, unless it has less than 30k miles.
You can get an average mileage 2015 for around that price. you might want to price around 22-23 and go from there. the fact that your car is immaculate (condition-wise) makes little difference to the average buyer. Most buyers don't care for pristine paint vs. paint with a few defects. |

Thanks guys. I was afraid of that. All offers have been 22k-23k (unseen). I think you are right no one cares it is in great shape. The exterior has a ceramic coating after clay bar and polish so it looks great. I will keep it in storage until spring. Maybe do better then. Oh by the way 44k miles

BMW, AUDIs are also not much better,
|
Time of year, maybe? Fun cars tend to heat up in the spring and slow down in the winter.
|
North Americans feel insecure when they aren't in an automobile which stands a foot above a normal sedan or hatchback. Personally hate the high center of gravity of SUVs, but I guess that's what makes me a GS driver.

It's unfortunate that the GS doesn't hold its value better. The SUV craze is a part of it, sure, but even without that the GS doesn't hold its value as well as other sedans. Even my IS held its value better than my GS.
|
Also, Lexus was running crazy high residual values on 14s or 15s, which likely makes values worthless now.
