Drive mode

Sorry if I’m reposting but I am curious to know what the average GS owner drives in Sport Mode. Mine is a ‘16 GS350 RWD so my choices are Eco, Normal and Sport and I drive them about 10% / 80% / 10% respectively.

Mine is 2014 F-sport. I drive 0% ECO, 40% Normal, 0% Sport, 60% Sport +.

06ls430KTC 01-14-19 05:59 AM

0% ECO
80% Normal
15% Sport
5% Sport+

2015 F-Sport. 0% ECO, 50% Normal, 0% Sport, 50% Sport + (sometimes I get bored and love to "floor it" in this mode)

AJLex19 01-14-19 08:00 AM

0% Eco, 90% Normal, 10% Sport

Eco when commuting
Sport/Sport + any other time

signdetres 01-14-19 08:46 AM

I usually rock Eco mode.

dTxworld 01-14-19 09:07 AM

75% ECO
0% Normal
5% Sport
20% Sport+

(5% in manual)

Just curious why not too many people use ECO more often to save on gas when they aren't having fun in the sport modes. Is gas consumption the same on Sport and Sport +?

CaptRog21 01-14-19 09:46 AM

For those who consistently use Eco, is there any real MPG gains? I am 0% Eco as I figured it doesn't make much, if any, difference. I'm typically 75% normal and 25% sport+

18 GS 350 AWD

20% Eco
70% Normal
10% Sport

2013 GS450h
60% normal
20% eco
20% sport+

It does seem like eco does give better MPG but it also feels like I lose 100HP unless I floor it.

2016 GS 200T Premium
90% Eco
0% Normal
10% Sport

Averaging 31.0 mpg over 18k miles as per trip computer. The Eco does seem to give better mpg but the car feels much heavier in Eco.

Agreed 100%: Throttle response is terrible compared to Normal/Sport modes...but that subdued throttle does help with better gas mileage.

2013 GS 350 Premium

Eco: 0%
Normal: 80%
Sport: 20%

2015 GS350
0% ECO
40% NORMAL
60% . SPORT +

Since the car I drove before this one averaged 12 mpg DOWN HILL with a tail wind.... I don't really mind the lower MPG that you get in sport + mode, especially when weighed against the improved driving experience. I'm still averaging mid 20's mpg.
