I know every time I get in the thing that I made the right call. What a beautiful and well-made car! Seeing how much I LOVE looking at all of you guys' cars, I figured I'd throw mine up for all to see!

Thanks for all the support and question answering over the years -- I love this forum and its members.

Congrats on the purchase.

I paid $27k. I wheeled and dealed and pulled out of there feeling like I got a good deal. So that's always nice!

Oh yeah. I'll be doing probably 15% all around. It should look nice when all is said and done!

Yeah I'm pretty happy with it! It definitely goes when I need it to! The around-town mileage is a little rough at like 17, but it does awesome on the freeway - like 29 or 30. I haven't found the gas that it seems to really enjoy, but that's a work in progress. I typically use Shell, but I've been doing Chevron of late. Any suggestions there?

Don't push so hard on the gas pedal.

15% all around is going to be pretty dark. I got mine done last month, 30% on the sides and 15% on the rear windshield and sunroof, and it's darker than I anticipated, almost too dark, but like everything else, I just got accustomed to it.
I got the highest heat rejection ceramic film available so it wasn't cheap, but it does keep the interior MUCH cooler, and UV reflection is a must for protecting interior surfaces over a long time period, especially in South Florida.

Post some daylight pics... and Congrats again on your purchase!

Agreed, I used to have 5% and that was crazy dark. I now recommend around 30%. Also don’t get privacy tint that doesn’t block heat, get something quality like llumar, I have it on my LS, and makes such a difference blocking heat in Texas.

I just wanted to toss some daytime pics of the new ride up -- I tossed 15% all around as I wanted it pretty dark.

I have 5% all around but I want another 5% layer on the top half of the windows. Might do that later, helps immensely when the sun is setting.

Dang meng! How do you see anything at night? Your car is white too, so 5% will look even darker. I am in SoCal, anything darker than 35% is asking for a ticket.

Talking about tint, do any of you guys have scratches on the top 1" of your front windows? Mine are all scratched to hell, I think because I have the double pane glass in the front making it tight when windows are rolled up and scratching the tint. The rears are fine.

I am sensitive to light so I can see through the tints fine. For many, there will be an adjustment period when driving in the early morning and late night hours. But once adjusted, it becomes second nature. Also, with every other car on the road having super bright LED head lights and all of them apparently not adjusted for the proper cut off (how do they pass inspection??!!), tints are a must. However, I did not tint the windshield, only a sunstrip on the top. Now that's asking to be pulled over. I think 50% on the windshield is good since I've driven in one that has it and you can't tell the difference.
