Price for a used GS currently

I am in the market for a used GS and see that there are a few on my radar right now. First one is a 2014 from "Vroom" (if anybody has heard of them and are they a good dealer to work with?) with clean title and clean carfax w/ 68,707 miles for $23,980. Second, is a 2015 w/ clean title and clean carfax w/ 52,846 miles for $26,900. Third, a CPO 2014 w/ 68,435 miles for $25,388. All of these are in f-sport trim. I want to know are these prices a good deal for these mileage? Which one would be the best deal?

What area are you at?

Those prices sound high. Check Autotrader and Cargurus, you should see a wide selection of 4GS's.

I am located in Southern California. Actually I did check cars.com, cargurus, and autotrader.

Prices seem about right for a RWD F-Sport. That 2014 that you have listed looks like the best overall deal.

I think this is a good deal for an F sport/non-CPO: https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...2122/overview/
I think this is a good deal for a F sport/CPO w/low mileage: https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...9023/overview/

The prices look okay for F Sports, 2015 seems kind of high. I contacted Vroom about a car that was listed nearby but it was really located in Texas, they are pretty pushy, don't think they allow negotiation and they were also going to charge me with a shipping charge too so I passed.

If I were you I would go for the 2014 for $23,980 if those are the only ones you are considering.

Earlier this year I bought a clean 2013 F Sport, 50K miles, from Putnam Lexus in Redwood City.
Certified, silver/red, $22,300.
Was a dealer loaner, then privately owned, and Lexus serviced.
I love this car.

Maybe got a little discount because we bought a new 2018 RX450h in February.
I like the dealership; they offered to do the 60K service (plugs, trans, brake fluid).

I would try and purchase from a dealership. There should be a bunch of lease returns around.

I bought a 2015 with 19,400 miles yesterday for $27.7k otd and $29.7k financed over 5 years. I'm very happy with it so far except the DI noise is a little more than I was expecting. Amazing that we can get a car like this for the price - I bought a new Maxima in 2002 and remember paying $24k otd which is $34k in today's dollars. I was happy with that car for 12 years but it wasn't near this nice!

Dang those are good deals at for the mileage. I should have mentioned I am picky cause I want a white/red or white/black combo fsport haha. I will keep looking that is for sure but might have to settle with the 2014 one from Vroom or the 2014 CPO. I would take my time but I got rear ended and looks like my car will be totaled and will need a new car soon.

I would look for a good deal on a 2015. I love my 2014 F-sport but the 2015 has great deals going around. I was at Lexus of Carlsbad and they had a good selection of them a couple weeks ago for good prices.

JeffKeryk 10-12-18 05:01 PM

Lexus.com has a dealer inventory search.
I am angry with you because I just saw a 2017 White F Sport at Magnussen in Fremont....
Sheesh.

I'm looking to purchase a CPO GS next year. Right now I'm inputting and tracking into a spreadsheet all used and CPO 2015 and above GS's within 300 miles of my location. Lot's of 2015's out there for around.$30ish. One thing I have noticed from this research is that options and models blur at about 3 years as far as price is concerned. In other words, F sport doesn't command a premium over the base after 3 years unless there is some outlier like ultra low mileage to command a premium.

Brand new here so I thought this would be a good thread to make my first post. I just negotiated $26k OTD on a 2014 F-Sport with 39k miles. Has almost every option besides the ML sound system. This is in Miami where sales tax is 7% and I'm getting a new tag ($400). Dealer also had a $799 Doc Fee and $499 electronic filing fee so I brought up a statue we have here in florida that requires dealer fees to be included in the listing price. Might be worth it to look into your local statues for dealerships as this helped me out a lot! They wouldn't remove the fees but got them to bring the price down to compensate for them. Asking price was $29k online at a local lexus dealership. I'll be picking up the car this monday! Good luck on your search.

You gotta hurry because the 3.9% only lasts until the end of October.

I literally picked my 2015 GS350 premium, navi, etc. 39k miles for $26k today.

It's getting to be slim pickings.

BTW, Longo Lexus has a white GS F-sport with 68k miles that's certified. Don't bother, there are scratches in the seats (beyond normal wear) and it has PHI tires on it....which is suicidal.

You guys gotta give me some pointers on how to negotiate prices lower. I am new to this car buying thing haha.

You have seen the car at Long Lexus in person? Funny, because they guy at the dealer kept emailing me about checking out the car but wont budge on price. Thanks for letting me know that was one I was going to check out.
