Default Spoilers

I am looking to get a spoiler for my GS Luxury, nothing too outrageous, just something similar to a F sport spoiler which I think helps complete the look and gives it a nice appearance. I was looking for ideas of what people went with for their GS's, how people attached them, if they used double sided tape how is it holding up, any issues, etc.

Tape should be more than sufficient if you use the quality VHB tape and have a clean and properly prepped surface. If you use adhesion promoter it will definitely never come off and will probably take the clear coat underneath with it if you can get it off.

I have my roof spoiler on with just VHB tape and it isn't going anywhere, and that sees more turbulent airflow than the rear spoiler would.

I added the non-f sport lux spoiler to my premium GS. Bought from SSLexus (a Lexus Dealership in Arizona): https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lexus-GS350...2/131651006240

I have a post in this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...spoiler-2.html

Did not drill the holes into the trunk. I cut off the bolts that came with the OEM lux spoiler and used the double sided tape it came with to put it on. I also used extra 3M tape and put it around areas that would make contact that didn't have tape from the factory. Still on without any issues after 3 northeast winters, automatic car washes and 90+ on the highway:

Thank you for the replies
Anyone have experience with these duckbill spoilers, guess you have to take the Lexus logo off which I don't really want to do.

I was looking into something like this, just hope decent quality is there for the price. Anyone have bad experiences with certain spoilers?

Your car looks nice. The spoiler in your picture looks larger then the one pictured on ebay, the one on ebay looks very small, I want something a little larger and more noticeable then what is pictured on ebay.

F-Sport Spoiler: Very minimal, lip style doesn't stick up or out much at all
Lux Spoiler: More rounded, sticks out

Here's an example of the Wald Spoiler (some folks have had fitment issues with the original from Wald which is surprising but there are eBay knock-offs of this style): https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...k-spoiler.html

Ordered mine from these guys.

Came well packaged, paint job was outstanding, fitment was perfect, friendly folks.
Incredible deal.

Edit: It was always the F-sport type. That's what I bought.

I decided on the non-F sport one too. Just like that one better. Did the factory install with bolts and tape.

That link no longer goes to the Lux type and now shows the F-sport type. I had it in my watch list and noticed that change a few days ago when a 15% ebay coupon came out.

I think I like that Wald style a little more, does it and the ebay knockoffs come with the Lexus logo, do you have to remove the logo when installing as it looks like the spoiler also goes over that area? Anyone cut a hole in it around the logo so you don't have to remove the logo?

I like that spoiler, so that is what they call a Luxury spoiler and not the F Sport which is much smaller?

You will have to remove the existing lexus emblem on the trunk and then put it on the "circle area" of the wald/wald-style spoiler: https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-13-18-G...r/202337081153

The spoiler will need to fit as flush as possible so you'll need to remove the emblem. If the knockoffs are close, they will have similar instructions to the original Wald. Here are the original instructions from WALD on page 4: http://www.waldusa.com/wp-content/up...ion-manual.pdf

As far as I know it's either F-Sport or regular GS. I do not think that there is a difference between the Lux or non-Lux GS.

I don't really want to remove my emblem, anybody know if anyone has just cut that area out of the center of the Wald or knockoffs so the spoiler fits right over the original emblem without taking it off or if it is possible? Main issue with cutting that center portion out I think would be filling out the interior area where you where you cut.
