Default Upgrades for when I turn 30!

Triple Beam LED Headlights and F-Sport Grills on my Lux Bumper

I'm thinking of getting the f-sport grill painted Gloss Black. Do you guys think it's better to get this painted or hydro dipped? Lots of intricate curves. Plan on installing these in a few weeks.

Nice pickup! I say get it painted but not gloss black I think a flat black or matte black even will look better. Just a suggestion though. While your at it, you should paint the driver side headlight bracket haha.. idk but it bothers me a little even though you wont see it after you install it.

It's plug and play for non-f-sport GS. There are a few on this forum that have done this mod and I think one guy who figured out how to install it on the f-sport.

The f sport doesn't have an afs ecu. So I don't think it swivels left/right or auto kevels, and you get a yellow afs light on the dash.

I assume I cannot use these on my 2013 GS since I have AFS?

Question for ya: Is it really plug and play for the non-F sport GS or do you have to have the AFS and the correct swivel ECU for it to work? You mentioned this thread that you needed AFS for plug and play and if not, a base GS needed to swap out the ECU to one that will be compatible : https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...eadlights.html

BTW: That setup that you plan on having will look outstanding...the mesh grilles with the triple beam headlamps are great combo

My 450h has the HID swivel ecu, that should work, according to SNiiP3R who did the direct swap.
2013 GS 350 luxury has the same exact swivel ecu as my 2013 450h.

I also got a used LED swivel ECU from a wrecked 450h with luxury package on the cheap.

So if my stock one doesn't work I'm going to swap it out.

I might use a paint stripper on the front grill because it's black plastic underneath. The lower grill is unpainted, so both would match afterwards. lol the color of the bracket doesn't bother me.

I read that there are different swivel ECUs. If you don’t mind me asking, what part number is the one you have?

The one I purchased used:
89940-30270
INSTRUMENT PANEL, HEADLAMP SWIVEL, W/ ADAPTIVE, W/ LED H'LAMPS

The one my Car has stock(HID) is:
89940-30250
INSTRUMENT PANEL, HEADLAMP SWIVEL, W/ ADAPTIVE, W/ O LED H'LAMPS

I guess most F-Sports have:
89940-30240
INSTRUMENT PANEL, HEADLAMP SWIVEL, W/ O ADAPTIVE, HEADLAMP SWIVEL, W/ O ADAPTIVE

Definitely thinking about purchasing the one you got as well. The dash lights are really bugging me now. Thanks again peasodos!

One here for sale for $110: https://www.tlsautorecycling.com/sea...0h/215286.html

BTW: Which dash lights are on since you did the swap to LED headlamps? Were all the plugs/harnesses the same as the original?

Technically there is only one dash light on which is for the auto level headlight (orange triangle) but most annoying part is that you will get an indication where it shows your tire pressure, trip a, etc stating that your auto leveling is malfunctioning.

The led headlamp plugs are the same as the hids, however the hids share the same ground between the low beams and high beams where as the leds are separate. If your GS is a luxury model, it is plug and play. If you have an f sport (like me), you would need to splice the ground pins on the leds together in order to get the high beams to work.
