Default IS350 to GS350 :-) exterior chrome delete?

The old IS350

New to me 2014 GS350

I was previously in a 2007 IS350, which I sold to purchase an Audi A7 (car fell through, then I didn’t trust Audi). I couldn’t find an Audi I wanted and ended up buying a new Tundra 5.7. I sold my off-road 4runner (fun rig) to fund the new to me 2014 GS350. For years I thought the GS350 was FWD, and I never looked at it. Then I found out it was RWD and test drove an FSport and fell in love.
35K Miles - Levinson, FSport, BSM, AVS, no 4wheel steering. Love the car so far - just picked it up today.
Has 1” drop springs.

Whats everyone doing to remove the chrome on the grill, emblems, window trim, muffler surrounds?
Do vinyl wrap on it all besides plastidip emblems?
Also - the Joe Z axle back exhaust, do you have to order that direct from China?
Spent all day going through the info sections :-)

Most members are vinyl wrapping the chrome. Some have painted, especially around the windows, as they've experienced some unsightly peeling of the vinyl in some areas where there isn't a lot of room to tuck the vinyl. I painted my exhaust cutouts with high temp engine enamel and clear coat but I do know some members who have wrapped it also.

You can order the JoeZ axle back from one of many vendors here - Meraki, ar_motorwerkz, modinjapan and they probably have them in stock.

Thanks np!
Would the Joe Z axle back be considered one of the quieter affordable systems?

Joe Z Axle Back and Tanabe would be the quieter systems - here's a couple of youtube vids from folks showing both these makers:

Nice shot, this is one of my favourite angles for the GS. Even after 3 yrs ownership, I can't help turning around to look at the car after parking it.

Congrats on the new car, looks great in the photos!

Love your IS as well - looks just like my '06 IS350; same color, and I had the OEM wheels painted to a similar color as your wheels. That was such a great car, but as you've probably already noticed, the GS is on a whole new level. Enjoy!

THANK YOU!! I thought I’d seen every GS350 exhaust video, and I apparently missed both of these!

I can’t take credit for that picture - the previous owner took it. But I agree with you! :-)

Yes, I had no idea the GS was so different. I honestly thought it was just a FWD car for 50yr+ - until I started noticing the F-Sports - and researched, finding they were RWD.

I wrapped the chrome on my car and had the issue of the vinyl lifting at the top of the mirror. I redid it using 3m adhesive promoter and it seems to have fixed it. Hopefully it stays stuck
