Default Anyone looking for a good deal on a '16 F Sport?

Hey everyone -

So I ended up trading in my 2016 GS F Sport to a dealer in North Jersey - got a pretty good price for it but I really feel like the dealer listed for less than he should have. Car has less than 20K miles and has every option including Mark Levinson (which isn't even listed on the site, nor is the F Sport package). Well doesn't have triple beam headlights and HUD. Anyway it's listed for $37,995 and there's obviously room for negotiation. Car is in great shape - if anyone in the area is in the market, go for it! Good luck.

If you're wondering, I traded it in for a 2018 Dodge Charger SRT - what a beast.

Take care!

LOL - It's a lease so we'll see how it goes. Dodge has really stepped up their game. My wife had the '16 RX which was junk. Vibration, hesitation on the pedal (dangerous) and handled like a dog. She's in a Durango now and it's beautiful and drives great. I get a deal with work. I've had several Lexus vehicles. They need to step up their power on the GS, which should come soon. That RX left a bad impression though I'll be honest.

Dodge has DEFINITELY stepped things up. They have moved up from least reliable to below average and are now firmly a notch above Land Rover!

Why would the RX be considered boring? It’s a FWD Camry on stilts! Seriously, it’s by far the most popular allbeit neutral car in the line next to the ES. They are both designed as cushy grocery getters. It’s what most people are looking for and a cash cow for Lexus. Agree about the drive dynamics though. I’ll never be a fan of FWD and the nanny just makes things worse.

As someone coming from an off lease Durango R/T and currently owns 1 Lexus (wife's) and previously owned 2 others I really hope you have a good experience. I had multiple mechanical issues on my Durango including a complete failure of the water pump at 20k miles which took them 10 weeks to get a replacement. I drove in a rental Grand Cherokee.

I'm currently in the market for a GS so thanks for the heads up.

That does sound like a good price on the GS. Good luck with the SRT. Lots of power at a nice price point.

@lobo2me - I've seen some things about water pumps, hopefully that doesn't happen. 10 weeks is insane! Good luck on your search

@eddie420- So far 16 MPG mixed, with better on the highway. I only drive 11 miles to work so shouldn't hurt me too bad. The GS wasn't great on gas, I only averaged 20 MPG.

One thing I've noticed here in the rust belt is how fast the Dodges rust. Good thing your leasing, I see late model Chargers around town that have considerable rust on them. There's a reason why they're cheap to purchase.

In the market for a 16+ GS F Sport. Don't see it on their website though :-/

EDIT: Found it on cars.com https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...4960/overview/
