Default What’s the highest mileage 4th gen GS on this forum?

Hi
I was wondering who has the highest mileage, and what has been your experience with the car?

How has it held up? Suspension, brakes, motor, etc?
Any unscheduled repairs?

I know the V6 motor has been around for a while, I just wanted to see how it’s held up over the years? Is it still a pretty trouble free power plant?

Lots of folks with heavy miles and no major issues to report. See these threads:

156k miles is the highest I saw in those threads.

To answer OP's question: apart from some issues w FSport front brake rotors, these cars are solid in all ways.

I bought mine last year at 72k because the miles don't matter much: well cared for, these machines have 250-300k in them without significant risk of major failure. Change the fluids; replace wearing parts; inspect critical components as per the maintenance schedule; and they just keep rolling.

I would imagine that F-Sport brake issue only applies to the RWD model... YMMV. ATKOT. IMO.

I have 160,647 on my 4GS. No mechanical issues, I’m the 3rd owner mostly highway. Car is in immaculate shape for the miles. The leather in these cars wear very well. Pet peeve is the black paino finish scratches easy. Next service I will have all the diff fluids and tranny fluid replaced this summer.

Man that's good to see (160k+)! I've recently paid my car off and planning on going the distance. I'm at that 36k so I have a while before I catch up lol.

To be honest. They feel so solid that I can't see how these can't go to half a million km's without issues. Obviously race it and it won't go the distance but drive it like a car and I think they will last like an old school s class. The Toyota 4l v6 that shares the same tech goes very far in plenty trucks without any issues than a water pump every 200k km.

One of the threads linked above was one I started wondering some of the same things about the 4th gen OP. The consensus was that with proper maintenance these cars will last a long time. I'm currently looking for my perfect 14' F-Sport. Nebula with Cabernet; have a couple weeks to find it
