2017 Lexus GS 350 F Sport
I purchase my 2017 Lexus GS350 F two months ago with 548 miles and now I notice the car has over 5,000 miles and no one else has access or drive the car. I have taken two long trips totaling 1,000 miles. I drive the car to work only on Tuesday's for a round trip of 104 miles. All other days maybe 20 mile a day to my van pool pickup. I now keep track like when I drive on Tuesdays and it's recording the wrong mileage. I spoke with someone who work in my building and I ask them and they stated that they are having the same issue with their 2016 Lexus GS350 F. She doesn't drive it much but the mileage is high and she thought it was just her. I have an appointment this Tuesday for a diagnostic test but i'm afraid they'll fix the issue and tell me they didn't find anything wrong. I hate driving the car now because the mileage is adding up quickly. Has anyone else notice their mileage high, but not driving it much.

Wow I thought I was going crazy when i thought my mileage was going up surprisingly fast. Bought a 2014 F sport in June 17 , was close to 20k miles at the time now is about to hit 29k. I drive the car daily for maybe 20-25 miles, just from home to work on most days which is about a 15 minutes drive each way. It seems that everytime I drive my car it goes up 40-50 miles. Lately I have been paying closer attention to it but dont know what to do. If I take it to the dealer , they would just tell me im crazy .

Strange... I would take a trip on a highway with mile markers and compare with them. I was worried my ES was racking up more miles, based on my speedo being about 3mph higher at 70mph (compared to my GPS). I was happy when it was dead on with the markers on a trip that was over 200 miles.

And here I thought my GS racks up fewer miles on the ODO than I actually have. 2+ years and 15k miles. Maybe we all even each other out.

I gather that 'mikedog139' thinks his odometer may be off by as much as maybe 1,500 miles with [only] ~5,000 miles showing on the odometer. His claim is that the car should have only ~3,500 miles on the odometer, not the 5,000 miles it shows being driven on his odometer. That means the odometer is off by ~29%.
Purchased car 2 months ago with 550 miles on odometer
Took two trips totaling 1,000 miles
9-10 Tuesday trips @ 104 miles totaling ~1,000 miles
50 days of driving 20 miles/day totaling ~1,000 miles
Total mileage the car 'should have' is: ~3,550 miles
Actual mileage the car has is: 5,000 miles
3,550 / 5,000 = 29% Discrepancy

Definitely keep us updated.
Since the car is fairly new, you can look at your credit card statement and see how many time and how much you've spent on car. Get the average price of gas and calculate that against your MPG. This should give you a ball park of the mileage you've put on the vehicle. My '15 gets about 23MPG and I get ~300miles before I refill.

Dam now you guys got me wondering about my 16 f-sport I'm at 12K. Are you saying you can see the miles change with the wrong count? if that's the case record it with your phone or maybe check the Lexus driver website and see if the same miles are reporting. the dealer is not going to do anything, till they have proof it's happening.
