Default DCTMS Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel Installed

I was browsing the other forums for the RC/IS the other day and ran across a group buy that was underway for some steering wheels. I thought they looked amazing but I didn't see any for the GS. I ended up hitting up Josh from DCTMS to see if they made any for the GS. He told me they had one on hand with no wait, and I had to jump on it. I've wanted a fancy carbon steering wheel for ages in all the cars I've had, I love the thicker feeling steering wheel. I ordered it on Monday and I just got it this morning. Let me first say I'm super picky in details and if there are any flaws it bothers me. I was wow'd when I unpacked it, absolutely top notch quality on the steering wheel, it feels amazing. The black perforation matches my seats perfectly. I've never swapped a steering wheel before or taken out a airbag. I disconnected the battery for 30 minutes to be safe and it took me about 2 hours to swap everything over. I had to unscrew it and put it back on because it wasn't centered. I believe its centered now but will have to drive it. Can't say enough good things about this week, it feels sooo nice and is a huge improvement over stock imo. Worth every penny. They can do other customizations if you want a different design. I have a silver carbon fiber insert on the way for the L logo, I'm going to try out how I like that look but may get a red one to match the stitching in the future. I haven't really seen this wheel on many other GS's when I posted.

If I could find the silver trim in CF I would do that too, I may try to find some and have it refinished in carbon.

They have great products. My only hangup is that I would lose the heated function in my steering wheel, which I use quite often. If that wasn't an issue, I'd be all over it.

Yeah actually that was a concern of mine when I thought about it since I have the cold weather package. But I live in Texas and to be honest I've never used it since I've had the car this year. The feel of this steering wheel is incredible, I just went for a drive. Its amazing what a difference in feel it can have. I have a silk blaze pistol grip wheel on the way for my LS from Japan.

Looks great!!!

I wish they make one for F-Sport - I can't let go of my F-sport emblem on the steering wheel.

I like but mine is heated as well and I don't want to lose that. Yours looks great but now you will need to dye all your stitching red!
But seriously what did it cost???

I don't know if they even have any on hand generally they need to be made, but you can hit up Josh. Any different modifications to the wheel can obviously change what it will cost.

I have cold hands due to some meds that I take. If it weren't for that I really wouldn't need it but I mostly use it on long trips.

Gotcha makes sense, wonder how hard it is to integrate the heated stuff into a custom wheel.

The carbon steering wheel looks amazing. Fit and finish seems to be top notch quality as well.

Like others have said, I can't give up the heated steering wheel function on my car. If they can integrate that feature in? I'll order one asap.
