I have a 2016 350-GS with navigation (big screen) and I use the USB for my music. I have noticed that it tends to repeat a lot. I look at the file list, and it only displays the first 255. Do I have to create folders containing only 255 files? Or is there something I am missing? I appreciate the help - I tend to drive long distances so it helps reduce the tedium.

I have my music files separate on each folder, and normally I set random (all folder) but seem like it repeat some songs more than others. Look like it having trouble to read thru all the files, and I have less than 1000 song.

I use 128Gb mini thumb drive and have no problem. I have about 90Gb worth of music in there. I have no problem with 2017 GS350 Fsport and 2015 GS Fsport

The only issue I found that car doesn't respect audio track number from id3 tag. It reads Artist and cover page art from file, but not track number. The work around was to copy music files in order what they listed in an album, then player reads them in the same order. So it looks like the software which is reading songs just get folder information with files in an order the way they were written. If you play it using random access than it doesn't matter.
