Question 2018 GS 450h

Been away for a while and recently looked at the GS hybrid F sport with ML, HUD, TRIPLE BEAM LED, and couple other options

Been researching the past 2-3 months and I'm aware this car does not exist in California except it has to be order, The broad question for all of the people who have had experience from having to order a car from Lexus, from what I was told by the salesperson is that the incentive or rebate program applies at the time when your car arrives, not at the time of the order was placed, meaning whatever incentive or rebate programs are running 3-4 months down the line is the incentives and rebate you will get if the car takes 3-4 months to arrive at the dealership from the time of the order.

Any truth or accuracy to what the salesperson told me? Thanks in advance and appreciate any input or feedback.

That is exactly what I was told by a Lexus dealership in Atlanta, GA when I was looking for a new GS in 2016.

any willingness on price negotiation on the vehicle or they will generally stick to MSRP pricing for special orders?

They took about 10% off MSRP for my special order.

Is this at the time of the order, or after the vehicle arrived and the final negotiated price prior to signing the contract?

That is correct, you will receive the incentives that are running at the time of contract signing since those aren’t controlled by the dealers. Most of the time, a special order wont have huge discounts since the car is coming straight from the factory and built specific to you. But pricing will he discussed when the car arrives because the invoice of the car gets created down the line as well.

Well, there's a long thread somewhere on here with my experience. Long story short, it was negotiated after the car arrived at the dealer.
