I currently own a 2016 GS F-sport and noticed several weeks ago I used the auto-park mode when I am stopped at light to release my foot off the brake and just press the gas pedal to go back into drive mode (nice feature, but i rarely use it!). After that, my car started to make this squealing or metal grinding noise as I am driving (not when I am stopping or pressing the brake pads) from 15-30 MPH, which I thought was a weird noise. Then yesterday I wanted to test the auto-park mode (IDK what this feature is called) as I was at the red light I pushed the button and released my foot off the brake. When the light turned green and I pressed the gas pedal, the auto-park feature would not release and I had to shift the car mode from "drive" to "park" mode to release the auto-park and I was able to drive the car.

I took the car into the dealership and the service guy told me that they have to change the rotors from a double thingy to a single rotor. Then the auto-park feature is working now. Which is really weird!

Anyone else have this problem or heard of it? Any input would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

So the dealreship had found the problem of the squealing noise. They found a monkey pod seed/shell in the brake/rotor area.

For the auto-park feature, I was pushing the wrong button, which exactly was the emergency brake! LOL. what a dummy I am :P
