I posted this a few weeks back in the ISF section.

Ordered these over the weekend and installed them this evening (gotta love Prime lol). The JoeZ catback gets raucous between 1200 and 1800 rpm and these really calmed it down. According to my super (duper) accurate phone dB app, I dropped 4.7 dB but the difference is amazing in terms of lower frequencies vibrating through into the cabin. Merely a hum!

BUT there’s the power loss. It’s noticeable.
The (tiny) torque gained from the catback is lost with these restricting exhaust flow again. I think it’s worth it though. The cabin is quiet again. And the girl approves so all is well lol.

Time will tell if they’re too restrictive to cause an issue I guess...

Congrats to the OP on his new exhaust.

Thanks for the hookup Josh! Got a great price and super-fast shipping on the Tanabe axle-back. PMs with anbark22 and Meraki Autoworks helped me decide to swap out the Apexi with Tanabe. Since I'll keep the Lexon diffuser in place, I'm adding Megan Racing quad burnt tips to the Tanabe. I'll share pics when the installation is complete.

Congrats on your decision to go with the Tanabe. I think you'll really love it, especially with the additional quad tips. Please keep us posted on your satisfaction.

Sorry, I'm late with the pics, but will try to take some this weekend after the storm passes. Best decision ever to get rid of the Apexi and the drone. Initially, the Tanabe sounds just like stock, but the tone deepens over several hundred miles and I'm pleased with the way it sounds. I'm also happy with the look of the Megan burnt quad tips.

I just put the Borla axle back on my 2013 a few weeks ago and it’s as advertised. No drone. Nice low tone and has a nice growl loud enough to satisfy but not overbearing. Look up Borla vid on YouTube. I was afraid of upgrading the stock but this is a nice compromise with no highway drone or no drone period. Just nice low tone.
You get what you pay for so spend the few extra bucks. Got it from CarID. They were great to work with.

Any way you could upload a sound clip? I mostly do city driving, so normally wouldn't go past 3000 RPM. Want a little more sound coming from the exhaust, but not too overpowering and don't want any drone. What you described fits the bill, but I was also looking at the Tanabe as well.

I can try when I have a chance from inside the cabin. I didn’t want overbearing because at the end of the day it’s still a luxury car with a sporty edge. I’ve been told from a few folks that have followed me that it sounds awesome. The packaging and quality of Borla is top notch. Great product

That would be awesome, I'd love to hear it as well. Thanks.
