Do I need to replace or turn rotors?
My 2013 F Sport sounds like its time for pads. I am at 35k, no prior brake work. I did a search and didn't find a clear answer, should I get the rotors turned or just slap on some new pads? Can you turn F Sport rotors?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You must ask Lexus what is the minimum recommended thickness for the front brake rotors, and use a pair of pinch calipers to measure.
At 35k, chances are that you need new rotors.
If you don't, then at least take them off and have them machined down the road before you put on new pads.
These days, asbestos-free brake pads really eat into the rotors.
Under gentle driving, a pair of front rotors may last with two pairs of front brake pads.
Under heavy driving, a pair of front rotors may only last with one pair of front brake pads.
