I looked at the site a couple weeks ago. There isn't much action on the site. They must be new...

I looked at them, cars are way overpriced just like Carmax, more overpriced then Carmax and I don't think they deal either.

I would look elsewhere.

Sold a car to Carvana a few months ago and it was super convenient. I've noticed they've been giving valuations close to that of private party. Upload some paperwork, set a pickup date, they hand you a check on the spot. I wouldn't hesitate selling to them at all.

Similar experience here selling a Volvo last month. Decent offer and no fuss process. I would highly recommend.

I helped my friend to get a quote from Caravan and Vroom. He got a better price for selling to Vroom on his 2019 Acura RDX a month ago.

I heard the used car trade in values is turning down now.

These folks were tracking it and basing on a number of reports.

Carmax offered me way more than carvana twice, 2 different cars. My friend told me just the opposite, carvana offered more than carmax.

Amazing, I had Carmax offered me more than Carvana before but some locations, I heard Carvana pays more than Carmax. I guess it depends on your car and location.

Default carvana

Dont' know about buying from them ,but selling to them was super easy and convenient. They gave me more than carmax and lots more than dealer.
Girl came out, checked the car briefly and gave me the check. Would use again in heartbeat.

My co worker sold his '13 BMW GT 5 series that had suspension issues and a few other knick-knack problems. They offered him a very high amount and he sold it to them. On the flip side, he said he wouldn't buy a car from them because of the fact that he sold them his car in "rough" shape.

The consensus seems to be that selling a car to them often yields the best offer on your trade-in...but buying a car from them might present more trouble with undisclosed problems. Maybe not much different than buying from an independent dealer that has no affiliation with the make/model you're getting.

A golf friend sold Carvana his clean 3 year old Ford F250 RV hauler for top dollar and used it as a trade-in for a GMC Yukon Denali that only had a few thousand miles on it and was in mint condition. The only problem he had was the hassle of getting documentation that Carvana needed (e. DL, title, insurance, picture ID, bank check, etc.) uploaded to Carvana for them to finally acknowledge the deal was approved and certain to take place. I think it took about 10 days whereas dealing with a dealership the transaction can usually be done in one day. He's happy, so that's all that really matters...
