Default Headlight lens fix?

Im hoping to buy a 2013-14 GS in the next few days... one question though. I've seen that most have at least one headlight that is faded/sun damaged. Is this the typical fix (sand, buff, seal ) I'm curious since you would think the dealership would fix this before putting on the lot and I've seen quite a few with the same problem. Also if the normal fix works can anyone recommend an long lasting fix since I feel like I'm re buffing my 2IS headlights monthly. Thanks!

Depends if your getting a high mileage car otherwise, it won't have any wear in 40-50k Miles.

The ones I've seen the fading on are all in the 40 to 55k range

keep in mind I am in AZ and it's 115 outside for the last week but seems early for this compared to other cars

I live in Dallas and it's pretty warm here as well. Cars I was looking at were majority 2-3 year lease returns and I didn't come across any with dull or hazy headlights. If you get any good deal/options getting the headlights polished shouldn't be a deal breaker.

If you do find one with no hazing, try putting some sort of paint protection film on it, like 3M, Xpel, or Suntek.

I have a '14 GS with 45k, no wear at this point. I do treat the car (including headlight lenses) with GTechniq C1 and EXO which is a Lacquer and Hydrophobic coating every other year. This protects the finish and against discoloration.
