Default Vinyl Wrap color on a 2017 GS350 F-Sport

I plan to wrap the chrome on the window trim and grill on my 2017 USB GS350 F-Sport. I have 2 question for all that have wrapped or painted.
1. The grill and lower inserts are more like a gunmetal color, has anyone wrapped the grill surround and window trim with this color or should I just go with Black?
2. For the grill did you just wrap the chrome surround or the entire grill?

+1...I was actually wondering the same thing! I want to wrap my trim in a gunmetal or black chrome type color (like the F Sport badges) to match my wheels. Inquiring minds want to know lol.

Had the chrome wrapped on my car this weekend, I went with Avery Dennison Supreme Wrap in Gloss Black Metallic which is a 95% match to the color of the grill and lower bumper inserts on the 2016+ GS. The gloss or satin black would contrast to much IMO.. Also had the rear valance and B pillars done so now all the trim is the same. Still figuring what I am gonna do about the emblems will either Plasti dip those or order the Black Pearl ones.

That looks awesome! I bought the black pearl emblems...I'd recommend them over plasti dipping.

I priced out the Black Pearl emblems on ebay and for the rear kit it was ~$190, cant do the front as I have the PCS and they don't make a replacement for that. So I decided to give Plast dip a try and picked up a can of there Black Sapphire pearl for $13 from dipyourcar in Coral Spring FL, did 5 coats and 1 coat of glossifire. I think it came out great, also did the license plate holder.

Nicely done - the emblems look like they came like that from the factory with the way you have it done. BTW: Nice S-Works in background!

Off topic but: how do you like the full Carbon Mavic Cosmics? I recently bought the Kysrium Pro Carbons and was torn between the Ksyrium and Cosmic line but ultimately decided on the Ksyriums...

great work! what are you going to do with the front emblem?

btw I hate that the factory put that tape over the lic plate threaded holes then the dealer just installs their plate right over it rather than remove it. maybe the shippers put them?
I have cross-threaded so may bolts due to this tape...be careful!

Looks good, I wish I had your body color. I have mine dipped like that with the carbon fiber emblem inserts. What wheels are those? I love them! I have my window trim dipped. If you want even smoother texture with plastidip you can heat up some water and then dip the cans in there for a few minutes. That will make the dip spray with better atomization.

I have the Cosmic Pro Carbons and loved them..they are great except for in cross winds, but on really windy days I switch to my Kysrium SLS.

Probably gonna leave it the way it is, I have read some people have done tint overlays but not sure I want to mess with anything pertaining to the PCS system
