My 13 GS350 (pics, comments, questions)
Hello All,
I finally purchased my second Lexus (2013 Lexus GS350). I previously owned 2006 LS430 (for three years). I am from Pennsylvania, and the car was from Mississippi (about 15 hours driving). I have been in the market since last Nov, and finally got what I want.
What features I was looking for:
- Luxury package
- Mark Levinson
- Heads-up Display
- Colors (Dark outside, Light inside)
- Low or average mileage
- Free accident
- One owner (preferred)
After looking for more than eight months I finally got what I want. The previous owner was a businessman in his 70s. He was taking care of the car, and all the services were done at Lexus dealer. The price was 21k, which was very good for the features above (He paid 59k as a new). The car has 75k only.
Here's the window sticker (The owner has kept it safe all these years). You can see all the features that comes with the car.
And here are some pics for my trip to PA
We drove to MS in a 2017 loaded Cadillac CTS, and there is no comparison between the GS and CTS (Hats off for the GS).
Pics right after picking up:
First wash:
Love in the interior at night:

Love this
Engine starter
HUD buttons
Here what I think:
The car drives so smooth and soft especially when I take ramp. I do not regret my decision when I decide to go with the GS. I got 29.9 mpg in the highway, and about 20 in the city.
What I do not like and my comments in the car:
- The yellow fog light (I am thinking to install a LED). Have anyone of you done it?
- When I start the engine remotely, it turned off when I open the door (I hate it when it happens)
- I am thinking to put up the window sticker in the rear right window, but cuz the sunshade is up all the time I thought it would not be a good looking.
- The map is not up to date. last update was in 2012 so is there is anyway to get the update without paying too much.
Thank you for your watching, guys. Share your thoughts and ideas if there is anything I should do?

Nice GS. Pretty much exactly like what I want and have been looking for, black, brown, or dark grey luxury package with tan/flaxxen interior though I could live with black interior, I would prefer the mileage to be a lower though like in the 40's or 50's but used lux package GS's are non existent in my state and almost non existent in neighboring states. Your window sticker proves why Luxury Package GS350's are so rare and hard to find being close to a $6000 option.

Welcome, congrats and Nice ride - mileage is a little higher than most folks would want but the car is about 4-5yrs old and its right at the 15k mileage per year mark. I think the options make it well worth it and the clean service history.
For your first question: You can definitely change out the fogs to LEDs. Some folks have gone the OEM route of changing out to the newer Lexus fog housings that have an LED (these came stock on the 2014+ Lux pkg). The other option is to just change out the bulb which is a little easier. I changed out the bulb and have had no problems. Went with VLEDs bulbs (www.vled.com) for the fogs.
Regarding your last question: The map update is typically done by the dealer. I've heard some folks pay around $150 or so to get it done.

Congrats! I have a 2013 as well and instead of worrying about a map update, I just use my phone and my Waze app haha...works better anyway. Also, I agree with AJLex19...just switch to LED bulbs for your fogs. Enjoy!

Congrats on the new pick up! I can tell you're really loving it. That's how I felt (and still feel) every time I walked up to her.
In regards to the fog lights, you have a few options. I prefer the LED vs HID route. Here are your options:
Cost effective (depending on the quality bulb you buy), uneven beam pattern:
-LED bulbs that can be installed in the existing reflector
https://www.theretrofitsource.com/le...o-2stroke.html
Higher cost, excellent lumen output and beam pattern:
-Morimoto LED housing. These are made for the GS, but might require slight tweaking to fit perfect but at $170, it's a great upgrade.
https://www.theretrofitsource.com/le...to-xb-led.html
Most expensive, but fully OEM:
OEM LED fogs from Lexus. These would be a direct replacement, but cost would be a little more than $300.

Happy modding!
