Default Stock non luxury leather Seats

Does anyone know if the stock leather seats in our cars are treated/coated? Will it absorbe leather conditioner?

Coated. See the All About Lexus Leather Sticky in the Detailing subforum and many, many other posts on this topic. Since it's plastic coated it won't absorb conditioner, but many fervently believe it does and they're perfectly happy. I treat is as vinyl and I'm perfectly happy too. Good luck!

I didn't know Lexus seats are plastic coated and won't absorb leather conditioner. Thanks for that information!

That thread is not specific to 4GS and it's from way back, I think Lexus has different leather for different models(ES wouldn't have the same leather as LS for example).

Haha I know right. ! It's a good video though and it reinforces the idea that cars don't really need a conditioner.

I'm going to have to look into the UV protection and Dye Blocker, my interior is Flaxen.
