Default Tired of seeing white stitching in my red interior.

Got tired of seeing the mixed/matched colors in my 16 GS interior. Thanks to the guys on the Camaro and Corvette forums for the idea! Took 1 1/2 hours to do on my driveway (probably would have been quicker if I didn't do it at night). Here are the results...

Looks great! Been thinking of doing the same to mine. What'd you use?

https://www.amazon.com/Uchida-522-C-...red+fabric+pen

Not bad for a $5 investment.

Looks amazing.

Did you have to clean up the leather afterwards?

Nope. The leather didn't soak up the ink. I just lightly used a baby wipe just in case

Great idea! I wonder if it'll fade over time?

According to the Chevy guys, it lasted 6-7 years without fading (at least till they traded the car in).

Yup this was super popular on camaro5.com. I never did it to my 2010 Camaro but many members had. I couldn't find a blue to match my Aqua Blue Metallic paint job.

Looks good!

I guess it could always be redone to brighten it up a bit if necessary.

If the car is a lease, I'm not so sure the Lexus dealer will be happy about what you did!

I doubt the dealer or the inspectors will even notice. Checking the color of stitching isn't on their checklist.

To OP, nice mod but I quite like the contrast of the stitching.

I have the red interior in my GS too and it is quite surprising that Lexus used different color stitching. In fact, in my car the red stitching on the doors does not match the red stitching on the center console cover, which is kind of a red/black color. That along with the white creates 3 colors! Considering they use the red interior in a lot of their ads and auto show cars you would think they would be more careful.

I definitely need that to touch up the stitching on my flaxen interior. Especially on the steering wheel and the Orange on the shifter ****.
