Hmm wrapped on the car itself? In that case no reason for me to not try! I'll just wrap right over my painted surface so worst case if it peels I'll just remove it. Thanks!

Yeah, no reason at all. There's a significant gap in between exhaust opening and the actual car so plenty of room to tuck the vinyl in and cut safely. Good luck! I wasn't sure how I would like it before I wrapped, but after looking at it all day yesterday, it grew on me.

Finally had some time to get my Vossens installed. I had them on my IS. I know it needs a drop. That will most likely be next week, already have tanabe springs in the truck ready for install

Ground down the edge of my calipers to clear my new wheels. Then painted them gloss black with white f-sport decals. It’s still going to take a 3mm spacer to clear the brakes, as is just barely grazing after the extra width of paint. (Put masking tape over just to make sure it wouldn’t scratch)

Dropped on Tanabe springs. Complete imgur album.

Used JeffTsai's thread for inspiration. Working on a brand new car is way easier.

Last time I did this was on a four year old GS430 with 60k miles.
Working on a five year old car with 80k miles that spent its first four years in Wisconsin was a different experience.

Getting stuff apart was HARD: the two lower bolts in the back on each side were absolute hell to remove.
They were seized in all ways. Getting the nuts off required an impact wrench, getting the bolts to even spin also required an impact wrench.
Getting them out required banging and tugging and spinning and pleading and tons of PB Blaster.
The last one required wailing with a hammer. It wasn't a height or friction issue either; it was aged metal in a tight collar.

I couldn't get the rear sway bar end links off at all, took them to a local shop, and that poor guy had to use every tool to get them off.
Apparently the rear end links are hard to come by, too, had to order them.

Getting ready

Before

Half done: front lowered with 15mm spacers, rear stock.

Done: 15mm spacers of front, 20mm rear.

Washed

Looks solid man. I'd love to lower mine, but i'm not mechanically inclined enough to do it myself.

H&R DRM (has its own studs, easy bolt-on -- these are harder to find, more info here)
15mm 3065602
20mm 4065600

I am considering 25mm in the rear to get more flush.
25mm 5065601

Looks awesome, how does it ride? I want to drop my awd but have been considering springs vs coils.

It's pretty close to stock, maybe a smidge stiffer, which is what I've read consistently.
S+ makes a difference, definitely stiffer.

Nia auto design side skirt and rear installed. Hard to tell on a black car, but looks great! Lines all match up to body. Chrome delete next week! Don't mind the dirty car..been getting pounded with rain this whole week.

Another update... Swapped my front turn signal bulbs with LED bulbs from ijdmtoy that I saw another member recommending. Very happy now as I've been wanting to do this since the night I picked the car up. Now all of my exterior bulbs are LED

Here are a few quick pics/vid in action I can take a better video if anyone wants

One side down, one side to go. Notice how much brighter it is than stock? How were the stock ones even visible during the daytime? Lol
