Not sure if this has been talked about, I have searched but could not find. Has anyone put caliper covers on their GS Fsport? If so, where did you order from? I am looking at MGP Caliper Covers; also does it effect the warranty?

Thank you

I seen a couple people done this. But why? It's so lame IMO. Just paint your calipers, super easy to do weekend project and will look 100% better than any covers.

Oh lame? really?....i was thinking Red ones on my white car would be sexy....since i have red interior...but what do i know...I could replace with actual red calipers, but of course instead of spending $300+, I would spend like $4000....

Thanks for the opinion..my husband and said told me the same thing...i was hoping for a different answer haha

You don't have to replace your calipers, unless you want BBK (big brakes kit). You just paint your OEM calipers what ever color you want. Mine is painted Burnt Copper. If you don't know how to do this, most performance shops can do it for you for $250-$350. My mechanic did mine for $250, both front & rear. Took him a couple days because he had to mask everything off and put on 3 coats of paint plus 2 coats of clear.

Edit: added some more pics of my calipers. You can buy F Sport decal on eBay for a few bucks. Looks really professional.

@Msmarvel Here's an older thread with a fellow member and his white GS with custom MGP red F-Sport caliper covers: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...-covers-2.html

MGP covers have been done by lots of others on the forum with other Lexus models. I don't believe it will affect your warranty. You will need to remove your wheels to install the covers anyway which is why some folks opt to paint.

You can get your calipers painted by a local shop (which is what I did) usually for around $60 a caliper or around $250 total (similar I believe to the price of the 4 MGP calipers for the GS).

Yea, it sounds like painting in the way to go. I wouldn't mind swamping them out completely. I get some 'shuddering' at hard braking, which I assume is more about the rotors. So for me, I could see getting better rotors, and just painting the calipers/pads. (wait, the actual pads are different then calipers right?)

Agreed. I bought DCTMS before I met Elvin. I'd have gone with Elvin since he is willing to do what DCTMS is not. Plus he responds super quick and super nice guy. Especially the fact that he does heated steering wheel while DCTMS flat out refused to touch it.

I wasn't sure where to ask this and rather than creating another post.... I'm looking for an old post I saw awhile back and the search feature didn't reveal much for me. I'd like to know more about the genuine TRD red start button, i.e. where to get it and if it's just plug and play? I'd appreciate if anyone can shed some light for me, thanks!

Nice job thanks, this is the button I remember. I hope someone knows if this would work on a 15 GS.
