Paint Protection Film / Clear Bra
I just purchased a 2016 F-Sport in Atomic Silver and am getting the bumper, entire hood and door cups protected.
Is getting the fenders protected really necessary? On my current 2013 GS350, there are no paint chips on the fenders so I was thinking it wasn't necessary. Thoughts? |
I'd ask the installer what he thinks you should do. You'll be glad you got your GS covered, and ask to have your headlights covered too!

Fender/side view mirrors will get chipped depending on the city your living in, too much construction is going on in Dallas so I won't take any chances.

I travel the Florida Turnpike everyday and I certainly got a rock chip on the front fender near the headlight. I agree with Dallasguy1 - get the fenders and mirrors done.
|
If you're going to the expense of doing the full hood, bumper, lights, etc I would definitely do the fenders too. I have the whole front clip on my LS460 done and its the way to go IMHO, I had a partial kit on my GS and had chips in areas where I wouldn't have had I had the full clip done.

Where can we get this done? Do you buy online and have any mechanic install?

You get what you pay for...installer quality on this is a huge part of it. If you want a really excellent install with no exposed edges, no lift lines, no hazing, you have to pay a quality installer.

Yes get the fenders done as well!
