i got a new seatback from lexus and was wondering if it can be installed by an amateur. its all already stitched and all that i see are clips and one plug for the heating mechanism. but im assuming the seat has to b taken apart. is there any write ups or manuals that will help? 2013 gs350 lux

Did you ever get any help on this or get it figured out? Wanting to know how to remove the seatback to get access to the rear footwell light.

I did an LS seatback once. Remove seat, disassemble, remove cover, installed new cover w hog rings and pliers, reassemble seat, reinstall.

It's not the hardest thing I've ever replaced, but it's not something most would even attempt.
