Default Real world mileage

We just returned from a vacation in Destin Florida. I took this picture when we pulled in our garage in Ohio. I used BP 93 octane for the entire trip home and got 26.2mpg with a fully loaded trunk, back seat and my wife and I in the car. Average speed was 67mph with the bulk of freeway driving at 78mph. I'm pleased with the mileage.

That's about what I get with very granny driving cruising on the highway. If you calculate by hand at the pump, unfortunately it's lower.

ooppss sorry thoughts his was GSF section with 5.0 v8

Every time I've done the math by dividing miles driven by gallons pumped it's almost spot on the computer. Maybe off a couple tenths.

Great mileage. When I manually calculate I get over 1 mpg more than the computer. Recent highway trip of 210 miles returned over 27 mpg on my AWD so I was more than happy.

I've experienced that too. In fact the first tank that I checked manually was almost 2mpg higher vs. the computer. Btw, my GS is an AWD F Sport. I'm about ready to replace the sorry Bridgestones. I'm looking at getting the Pirelli Cinturato P7 Plus. A little cheaper than the Michelin MXMs at TireRack and they are claimed by some owners of other cars to increase their gas mileage by 2-3 mpg.

Please do share your experience with the Pirelli P7 Plus if you go that route. I have the original MXMs on my vehicle, but I have read a lot of good things about the P7 Plus tires as well.. including, as you mentioned better mpgs. Was considering switching to those once my tires had worn down.

This is also a good topic that discusses those specific tires: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...new-tires.html

All the best,

Press the "ODO TRIP" button directly left side of the steering wheel column to cycle between Odometer, Trip A, and Trip B.

Press and hold it to reset your selected trip to 0 miles. Unfortunately you cannot press and hold to reset your odometer.. trust me, I've tried

Hope this helps,

You can also go into the info screen that has the bar graphs for average mpg. Clear it, take a trip, see what the latest column shows.

Jesus. This really shows how longs ive had this car. The only buttons that I noticed on the left side of the steering wheel was the HUD buttons. I wondered today if there was a way to adjust the brightness of the display. Thanks!

Best i've done with my AWD is about a 200mile trip averaged about 26.2mpg. City mileage is awful though in my experience - in the mid teens at best.

The best I got on a 200+ mile drive (almost entirely highway) was just over 30mpg (cruise control set between 70-80 - depending on speed limits)
In city (almost entirely city driving), it hovers between 19 and 20mpg usually.
2013 - RWD, and I am not a calm slow driver
