Alignment from Lexus after lowering?
Hi all. Has anybody taken their car to a Lexus dealer for alignment after lowering? I just installed springs and adjustable rear camber arms and need to take it in for an alignment. It's not much more expensive than my local shop ($130 vs $100) and it'll make it on the dealer's rack, so I was wondering if anybody had any experience with getting it done at the dealer. Thanks!

I don't have any experience with my dealer as they were asking too much ($160) so I just took mine to Brake Check and bought their lifetime alignment. All I pay now is about $3 each time I need one.

When I do any mods I usually try not to take it to the dealer because most of the times they can be a**h*les and say oh you did so and so that voids your warranty. Plus I don't see what the difference is from dealer work to a reputable alignment place. Plus when I called they were charging me $300 for an alignment... I was like what the buck... So I just researched, yelped and found a guy that actually does alignments for dealerships and he only charged me $80 bucks... The guy is really good too. Happy with the results.

The dealer would give me an overnight loaner car as well. Hmmm......

It depends on the drop you do. If you go conservative (ie, rsr downs) then you probably won't need a camber kit. But if you go lower (ie, coilovers) then a standard alignment won't get your camber back within factory spec, so you'll end up with some uneven tire wear.

They'll probably mess up ur car more than fixing it. I'd take it to an independent shop that specialized in lowered cars.

I plan on going with RS-R super downs on my non Fsport, which lowers the car about 1.4" (I think RS-R super down only drop 1" on Fsports?).
I guess I'll need just the rear camber kit.

So... I went with 20x10.5 + 275/30/20 on rears with camber kit, after proper alignment my wheel is rubbing fender with people sitting on the back, need to do fender roll now. Kinda upset cause I was sure that it won't happened after reading bunch of threads here. Most likely, my mistake was with not paying enough attention when reading, guys who did not have rubbing they were w/out camber kit. My initial pick was 20x10 on rears but Vossen rep convinced me that 10.5 is our recommended and you should go with 10.5. Pardon for english, hope I was clear.
