Warranty issue/no help from dealer
I purchased my 2013 GS350 F-Sport back in 2013 which was CPO'ed. Car had 19K miles on it. Most recently i had some issues with my door not locking so i went to the dealer to get it checked out. Turns out the lock actuator was faulty and needed to be replaced ($800). Ok so my car is now 3 years old and the manufacturer warranty expired in April 2016, so no big deal i have a CPO warranty that extends it. I was told 3 years or 100K miles when i bought the car. It turns out the CPO warranty expired in May 2016! I'm at a loss and the service advisor had nothing to say to me but say I'm out of warranty. My biggest question is how is my extended warranty already expired a month after the manufacturer warranty?!?!? Turns out the CPO went into effect when i bought the car and both warranties were effective concurrently until the both expired this last couple of months. This didn't make sense to me since all other cars i have purchased in the past (CPO'ed) being either honda, acura, nissan, bmw, etc. all had CPO warranty effective after the manufacturer warranty. Is this the norm with Lexus?
I called the dealer where I bought my car from and he was one of the most rudest ****** I've ever talked to . He actually had nothing for me and basically hung up the phone since I didnt want to trade in my car for another one. NEVER GO TO LEXUS OF TOWSON in maryland!! complete A-holes!
Has anyone dealt with this in the past? Any help would be appreciated. I paid the premium to get a CPO'd and now I'm getting screwed by lexus.

wait a minute, the car should have 4 years 50k mile warranty, so I dont get it, and if u have extended warranty that should kick it to 5 years 100k warrant , I would call corporate and complain and take it to another lexus dealer, some dealers dont like to do warranty work because they dont get paid much for it thats y, but dont let that **** go, be on there ***, that is one lazy ppl working there.

Based on the details you provided, your basic 4yr 50k bumper to bumper warranty and the CPO warranty are expired.
My 2013 is an early build 2012 and had its full warranty expire in April of 2016. However, i purchased it in 2015 when the current CPO program at that time was 3yr/100k - so i'm covered until May of 2018.
In 2013, a CPO Lexus was warrantied for 3yrs/100k miles from the date of purchase. Unfortunately, this ran concurrently with your basic 4/yr 50k factory warranty. Purchasing a CPO 2013 was not really necessary as the CPO did nothing but, as you stated, run concurrently alongside your factory warranty.
Its important to remember that the older CPO program is very different from the current program. The current program is better because it actually extends the warranty 2years AFTER the original 4yr/50k mileage warranty expires.
Unfortunately, the older CPO program did no such thing. It was 3yrs/100k miles from the time you purchased the car - therefore ran concurrently with your existing factory warranty, thus expiring around the same time. I'm assuming your purchased an early build (originally April 2012 registered as a 2013 model) and bought it as a CPO car in 2013 when it was just about 1 year old.
However, although you have no remaining warranty, I'd definitely speak to Corporate and complain about your poor experience with the service adviser/manager at the dealership. Usually they will try to explain in detail and try to get to a common ground maybe paying partially for the work since your loyalty should be respected.
But it sounds like overall, they did a poor job at best. Def. complain to corporate and be diligent.
Some great information can be found on this thread about the warranty program (old vs new): https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...-vs-new-2.html

Yep. Lexus corporate should at least give you a better explanation than the SM did. You may even get an "I'm sorry sir, how can we make it up to you" call from the dealership.
Lexus Corp. is serious about their dealer experiences, and they'll crack down on dealers that don't treat customers right. They have a standard to maintain and there's no room for jerks in that standard.

I bought my 2015 GS Lux from them. Got a good deal (11k under sticker) but the salesman was worthless. Didn't know a darn thing about the vehicle including wheel size, BSM, nothing.
Go to Lexus of Silver Spring. Very spartan waiting room as compared to other Lexus dealers, but service reps and service quality are first rate.

The old CPO warranty was 3 years from date of purchase or until 100K on the odometer.
This is exactly why I didn't used to bother CPOing a lot of 1 year old cars. The new program is much better. Anyhow, 1 month out of warranty I bet you'll get this goodwilled.
