Default Removing passenger side compartment fuse box cover

Has anyone successfully removed the clear plastic cover on the passenger side footwell fuse box? Feel stupid for asking this but I tried to apply all sorts of force on it(by hand) and it just wouldn't give. The position is very awkward and I don't have very good visibility of it. The manual just says remove the lid - yeah.... thanks Lexus!

I'm getting neck strain just to try to see part of the fuse box, it's positioned so far in the footwell and recessed at such an awkward angle. I've never seen a car with such difficult access to fuses.
