I'm currently looking at getting some rims, specifically I'm looking at Velgen's VMB5s or VMB7s in matte silver. I've never really understood tire sizing so I wanted to get opinions. I'm trying to figure out what size tires to run with 20x9 up front and 20x10.5 in back. I'm not currently dropped, but I'd like to do a little bit of a drop in the future. I'd also like a tire that doesn't compromise on ride quality too much.
I tried posting in the tire rack wheels section but my post never got approved, so I apologize if this is in the wrong place. Any opinions on rims would also be nice because I can't decide between the VMB5s and VMB7s! Thanks!
u are good with those sizes and the tires u gonna need is 245-35-20 front and the rears 275-30-20 , do not run 285-30-20, u will rub 100%, and if u gonna lower the car that is , get Tanabe springs which will lower 1.1 front and 1.2 rear and u ride wont change and both wheels are nice here is a link ck it out u will see ur car with the wheels on it and there is lots of GS's with different wheels, good luck. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...erings-17.html
If you are going to go with 20's then yes, 245/35/20 in front and 275/30/20 for rears... You will feel more of the road regardless whether you drop it or not. Simply because you are going to a low profile tire but definetly makes the car look way better! 😃. You will definetly need a drop if you are getting rims... Big no no to ride stock height with rims... Just seems not complete in my opinion! Good luck!

285 will not rub if stock height or even on tanabe

Also depends on the offset of the wheel! I am at a 37 offset on a 10.5 in the rear and I was rubbing with a 275, over big dips. Rolled fenders and problem solved. 285 you will definitely want a higher offset wheel like the Velgen
