Default 2016 Lexus GS headlights

So I'm alittle confused as to why they are not offering the triple LED headlights as an option on the new 2016 GS 350 F Sport .

On the 2016 RX F sport it's part of the
LEXUS SAFETY SYSTEM + WITH PREMIUM TRIPLE-BEAM LED HEADLAMPS

They come standard on the RCF and GSF.

Does anyone know if this will be offered in the future or if I can switch them out as a service item.

Good luck on switching them out, they cost almost 3000$ a piece.

Buy your GS from Servco Lexus of Honolulu and ship it to the mainland. They are able to order the triple LED headlights.

Slightly more practical, but it would cost $1000+ to do that, not to mention the deals don't seem to be as good as the ones here on the mainland.

I agree. I've researched this when I picked-up my 2016 and found that all European and Asian models of the GS and RC are equipped with the triple beam headlamps besides base models (w/o any packages). I can't believe they've left out the US models. It's not like they've produced an abundance of headlamps from previous years to get rid of. 2016s are a new headlamp design.

I'm guessing this will probably be standard headlight next year, hopefully.

That is my hopes as well. My lease is up 1/19/2017 and would like to go back to the GS, and would really like the triple LED lights.

I'm not dropping $90K for the GS-F.

Is it even "legal" to purchase a car from Hawaii (Servco) and transport the car to the mainland? I'm assuming it is, but the cost would have to be prohibitive, not to mention the chances it get's damaged in transit...

It's obvious why they do that to us here. They want the GSF and RCF to have recognizable lights. It's bad enough I see ES's with headlights so similar to my GS, can barely tell them apart at night.

It sucks, it should be optional, but that's how they do it.

Agreed that the limitation imposed is seemingly unfair with them with-holding the triple beam headlight option from the US Market - saw an NX F-Sport and it had the triple led headlights and it looked great...very unique and seems very Lexus.

Afrosheen: Agreed that the ES front-end at night looks too similar to the GS...to differentiate, I had to throw it back to the '01 GS I had and put in PIAA Ion Yellow bulbs for my fogs to differentiate my ride on the road. I still feel this looks is very GS (not my car in the pic but gives the general idea):

Like someone else suggested, Lexus will more than likely make it a option in the 2017 or 2018 model year so as to keep people interested.

Yes, it's legal... the only problem is that some states like CA will not register your brand new car if emissions not part of 50 states, it has to be over 7 or 8K miles on odometer. Hope I was clear

The reason why they don't offer them is because USDM F-Sports models don't have the AFS option. The LED's will only work properly on non F-Sport models in US.

You know Hawaii is the 50th state, right?
